Je'ron Stokes nice and lubed up by the snake oil

According to Sam Webb on the recruiting roundup, Stokes canceled his visit to Penn St. which bodes well for us.

I have always wonder that myself...how does he manage to pull in the recruit that you least expect him to pull. Would love for him to write a book on the art of recruiting...he has quite a gift to gab,I suppose.

He raved about his visit to M. Tennesee is a different demographic. PSU has had recent success and their QB returning along with Newsome in the pipe. Illinois has one more year of Juice and Benn (he will go early) so there may be an attractive depth chart there - maybe even more than ours, but I just do not see Ill beating us for this recruit.

This title is needlessly homo-erotic. I wasn't aware that the "snake oil" Rich Rod uses acts a lubricant. Keep in mind you're talking about a full grown man "lubing up" a high school kid.

I think the problem is not that it is being used too much, but being used too broadly. I would like to the see the phrase more for us taking a recruit seemingly headed somewhere else - like Michael Shaw and Roy Roundtree last year (the source of the original charge by Joe Tiller). Snake oil has its place in the lexicon, it is not applicable for merely landing a recruit that is interested in M and other schools.
