Jay Feely's Ninth-Grade Son Hits 49-Yard FG

Submitted by BursleyHall82 on

Jay Feely (Michigan's kicker from 1995-98) has a ninth-grade son named Jace who plays for Gilbert Christian HS in Arizona. Jay just posted a video on Facebook of Jace nailing a 49-yarder late in the game.

I don't know how to embed Facebook videos, so maybe one of you people who knows how to work the Internet can do that. In the meantime, go to Jay's page and watch it. It's awesome.

I would guess that it's a pretty big deal for a ninth-grader to be hitting 49-yarders. For context, Jay's longest FG at Michigan was 51 yards.

We have four years of Heisman candidate Quinn Nordin left, but we'll be looking for someone to replace him after that. I hope Harbaugh is already planning a sleepover at the Feely house.

Its amazing how nice it feels knowing the kicking game is a strength as opposed to a liability. for like 10 years there I would just assume Michigan couldn't make a fg. now it's, let's see how far it he can hit from.
