Jalil Irvin to Auburn

Georgia OG Jalil Irvin committed to Auburn today. He was committed to Michigan for a hot second last summer.

I've seen a lot of comments about money in this thread, but Irvin is the #311 player in the country, so he's on the low end of being a 4-star (and he's a 3-star to some sites). This isn't exactly a situation where teams would be fighting tooth and nail to land him.

Wait so how many kids per year do you think get cash? Fewer than 311 kids? If just the SEC has bagmen and the top, say, 10 players in each class get some cash, that's 140 kids. Assuming that other P5 conferences have bagmen at least half as generous (5 kids paid per school per class, on average), that's another ~250 kids.

Obviously those numbers are wild guesses and my assumptions may be off-base. But it doesn't seem unreasonable to think that every four-star in the country gets at least offered money.
