Great accomplishment.  I wonder if he has played in more games than Jim Mandich.  They didn't play as many back in the day.

Don't confuse skewed numbers to choose a favorite. Mandich played for Bo.....Harbaugh has already pounded points in the M record books far ahead of any year Bo ever had...Butt is a beneficiary of that...but don't dismiss the body of work of Mandich--he was a tremendous competitor who played less games for M in a far, far different offensive scheme....respect them both--but do not compare them casually.....same goes for Bo and JH ...OUTSTANDING is OUTSTANDING!

The offense was different then, so if anything, the numbers are skewed in Mandich's favor. He was the 2nd leading receiver on the team in his first year of playing, and the leading receiver by far in his last two.

1967:  Jim Berline, 54-624; Mandich, 26-256

1968:  Mandich, 42-565; Bill Harris, 16-369, Jerry Imsland, 19-269

1969:  Mandich, 51-676; Harris, 15-302

Just shows how many weapons and options we have.  We don't need to rely on Butt like last year.  I expect he'll have a key play or two against ohio.
