MOD EDIT: Per Peppers' own Twitter, don't send him to the pros just yet - he has not decided to go as of this moment. - LSA

You're referring to the "Braylon" treatment I'm guessing.  To be fair to (what's left of) the Browns fans Braylon didnt take any crap for being from Michigan until year three when he began to specialize in dropping perfectly thrown balls.  Years one & two you never heard a word about his background.

Look - if we actually do the smart thing (and God knows the odds are very stacked against that) and pick Jack #1, Peppers (or Samuels) #12 and resign Collins the Browns would have three playmakers on D.  Peppers would become our version of Polamalu - a vicious hitter who just doesnt miss tackles.  Put him at SS and lock down the back of the defense.

Like I said - makes too much sense though to happen.  What will prolly happen is we'll trade out of #1 to aquire even more 4th round picks in 2019 and then we'll grab somebody nobody's heard of at  #12.

I've been calling the Garrett and Peppers 1st round for a while now. I hope BKFinest knows what he's talking about here. We definitely need help up the middle and adding those 2 to Shelton and Collins is a good start. (I'd also trade for Tyrod Taylor and spend a pretty penny on FA OLine)

Unfortunate phrasing regarding Chesson:

"However, NFL agent Joel Segal of Lagardère Sports and Entertainment is also suggested to be a contender to service the wide receiver."

I love Jabrill but he leaves with a very interesting legacy. No one has ever done more for Michigan and at the same time less. Two seasons, never played in a bowl, never beat OSU.

Unfortunately, you're right. Except legacy means he did something worth remembering. Which in Michigan terms is beating OSU, winning the division, winning the Big Ten and winning the National Title. Great player but there's literally 3 plays i'll remember and 1 didnt even count after penalty

This. My first reaction to this announcement was kind of a sad feeling about what could've been, the highest goals he would've helped Michigan achieve if it wasn't for unlucky circumstances and untimely injuries... He as much as anyone deserves to have a championship as a part of his legacy, and no one worked so hard for Michigan as he did... This is kind of the same way I felt about the end of Denard's career

I see with the downvotes you have a controversial opinion there but I can get behind it to a degree.  In a Mitch McGary way (but for very different reasons) I felt wanting more - both guys missed a portion of their careers here.  With Peppers it was much of first year and both bowls.  While it is not all about stats, someone posted Hooker's stats in 1 year as a safety and they were pretty jaw dropping in terms of game changing plays.  And obviously he did it in the biggest game of all (at least in the conference).  We didn't see those game changing plays like a Woodson or Howard.

I also believe was under utilized on offense.  Watching Adoree Jackson do cool things for USC the past 2 years on offense (more in 2015 than 2016) I can only think unless Jabrill has bad hands why he wasn't a slot WR here or there, why he didn't get more play as a pure RB rather than a Pepcat. Etc.  That said, I put that more on coaches.

Jabrill probably had an impact we don't see on the stat sheet and I give him major credit for playing out of position this year.  I also think his punt returning prowess is something that will be missed - very obvious in the bowl game when a lot of those low driven balls were not fielded like he would.

A very good player at UM and one of the most diverse players ever in modern game but perhaps not as dominant in 1 thing like maybe we expected when he came in.

I wish him luck in the NFL and hope he goes to the right system - he strikes me as a high ceiling low floor guy in the NFL - and most of that will be based on his DC and utilization.

When he came in, he was dubbed the next coming of Woodson and never played a true corner role for UM (when he could have done it in an All American fashion). Instead, the coaches played him everywhere and he did it very well. Who would've thought he would play LB during his time at UM? None of us. He was selfless and did whatever was needed for the team, and probably hurt his draft stock a bit because he doesn't have a cleanly defined position to be evaluated on. Without his ability to play in multiple spots and fill spots of weakness, Harbaugh's rebuild isn't on the fast track it's on now, both on the field and on the recruiting trail.

Was hoping he would return and end up cementing a great career, making plays that would stand in lore.  Infortunately in 20 years he'll be remembered as a talented guy who did a lot of things for a couple years, but without any one legendary moment... and no bowl games.  Frankly, he'll need a lot of coaching at the next level to succeed.  He moved around so much I think it hurt his development a bit

Without Jabrill and his versatility, I highly doubt that we have two 10 win seasons immediately after the Hoke dumpster fire. Jabrill covered up many weaknesses on defense with his all everything presence. And field position - without his excellent return ability, the offense would have struggled to get in the endzone more than they already did the past two years. Just imagine how things would've been the past two years without him. Harbaugh played the biggest role in our success by changing the culture, but the rate of change is not as great without Jabrill. He was a program changer for UM and will go down as a legend even without a win over OSU or a championship under his belt. He is simply one of the best.

For leading the way of high 5* to start coming to Michigan, again.  Good Luck in the NFL, now if you could "only" run a 4.49 forty so that you can fall to the early 20's pick and then help out the Lions, that would be perfect.
