"It's just getting started"

To quote Dildodio, but not exactly what he had in mind.

He flourished when RichRod ignored Michigan and lost games, and the program faltered. Those days are gone. While it remains true that he develops second tier and lower HS players into studs (Like Willekes), it's impossible for him to bridge the talent gap.

Moving on:

I love how o u has Nebraska, @MSU and Maryland left on their plate. I'm assuming the current HT deficit of 11 to Purdue goes the way it usually does. But they have some mileage left to accrue, and wear on the vehicle.

Meanwhile, I love our timing of the bye week, the fact that psu almost lost, and the team vibe/momentum after a grudge match win.

Any board insight into Nordin? That's my biggest worry, moving on. I'm an old man. I can't tell you how many teams I've seen that would have won it all, but where the kicker was the achilles heel.

Go Blue, and enjoy the victory tonight!

I think Nordin is mostly fine. One off game and then a terrible kicking surface are not a sure sign that the guy has yips or lost his swing.

There was a KO or two that had the kicker fall flat on his back.

If anything I think he misses consistent holding. The snap-hold on kicks has been wonky all year after having *the greatest holder in the history of holders ever.

*objective fact

I dislike the bye week. We seem to come out of bye weeks groggy and flat. In the last decade I cannot remember a game after a bye where it appeared special preparation was a great benefit to our performance.

Normally I would agree with this.  A good break after an emotional and physical win is very timely. The team will up for PSU.  The players do not forget the beat down they took last year at PSU. I don't see a game where Michigan is not focused.  Too much on the line now. This bye week is very timely.  Stars look to be finally aligned for Michigan.

Did he say that today?

he said the same quote when hoke beat him years ago.  Get some new material and stick around for another five years and you’ll have a losing record vs Michigan.

In an argument with an MSU fan about the pregame events today.  They are saying they hVe never defiled our field.  I swear there was an incident where a team tried to plant a flag in our turf, and well...since its turf it didnt work.

I swear it was MSU who tried that, am I remembering wrong?

Fuck Sparty. This was a DECADE in the making. The Rich Rod years, the Hoke years, all the bully-balling, the cheap shots, the late hits, the cleat stompings, the trying to rip Denard's head off, all the phony disrespekt bullshit. The boys took that, dished it back out, then shoved it down their fucking throats. We're the bully now.

Did I hear Harbaugh call Dildodio Dantoni in the post game presser? Well played all the way around. That, on top of Chase's remarks, will stick in their craw for a year and there's nothing they can do about it. I see a few more losses on the horizon for them.

Dantonio just doing what's best for his team.  He asks as if he isn't at fault after calling players out and his big talk-- which let's face it, he is a good coach....

Glad we beat them today!

Harbaugh called this coming week “improvement week” on his post game interview with Jon Jansen today. I think we need the bye week, and it doesn’t hurt that Penn State has Iowa before they show up for their beating here.

Dantonio called Harbaugh's comments BS, but...we now have video of Dantonio smiling and walking 5 yards behind the MSU thugs breaking the rules on our half of the field during warm up time.

It was pretty easy for Dantonio to lie.  I guess he has a lot of experience lying covering up crimes against women from his players.

Ahhhh. Nordin. The guy has the envy of every college kicker in the game with the big leg.  He’s like the pitcher that throws 100mph...that scares the hell out of every batter he faces because they know that even he knows he has NO CONTROL over what’s about to happen. From reading on Twitter (it must be true then right) he’s having major mechanical issues. One of our former kickers commented on this. I tend to believe what former college and pro kickers say. Can’t remember what it was but it was an obvious form flaw pointed out.

I don’t care what his problem is now...he can’t be trusted. They have to have a guy that has a higher percentage with the short yardage stuff in the field. I get nervous every time he kicks an extra point! Over 50% of the time he’s kicking so erratically that it looks like a knuckle ball coming off his foot.

Put the other kid in for the short stuff and extra points. Save Nordin for the long stuff if you absolutely need three..and hopefully he can get shit worked out by next year.
