It's been almost a month
We are approaching one month into Jim Harbaugh's tenure. Everyone of course is paying attention to the staff's efforts on the recruiting trail.
But has their been any mention from the current players? Thoughts on this brief period? Changes to the approach in conditioning?
I forget one player mentioned that he enjoyed meeting Harbaugh and that he is "all business." But that's it.
I was hoping others could share anything that they've been hearing from the team.

A month? That's so short. I still can't believe it.

Pretty much anything that gets written about Michigan football gets posted here.
I feel you, I refresh this page about 250 times a day, interspersed with checking around the internet.
But, other than an anecdote here or there that might have been missed, its all here.

No news is the best news. Keep to yourself, train your butt off, and WIN.

To take it further, I hope they are a bunch of pissed off Wolverines who realize how badly they underachieved the last three years. I hope they all realize that losing to Sparty and Brutus every year is not going to happen anymore. I hope Harbaugh has infused his intensity and will to win into every player who returned.
I have a feeling that nobody is encouraged to talk about how good they are until they actually accomplish something. Everyone is "on the clock" now.

You may want to consider renaming the name of the post. "It's been almost a month" is pretty nondescriptive.

But you knew what the OP was referring to....admit it.

Since the B1G kicked some butt on New Year's Day. But yes, even I knew this was the equivalent of the 10 year old in the back seat asking "Are we there yet?"
And I get it, it is a while before the Spring game and Fall camp and finally kickoff to 2015.

The fort is sealed.

I think it is reasonable to assume that the local media types have been after the players to comment on Mr. Harbaugh. The silence means that they have not done so. This is a good thing.

and that's a good sign IMO. That means the guys are working hard and buying in so far.

Everyone is busting their butts with Tolbert. Staff aren't around that much with recruiting duties.
January 27th, 2015 at 12:55 PM ^
I'm assuming the team has locked itself away in the weight room with Tolbert over the past few weeks. There probably hasn't been a ton of interaction between players and staff since the staff is out recruiting.

Desmond Morgan and a couple others were quoted early on!

I don't think that very many players said much during the search other than at certain points near the end of it when it was fairly clear that Harbaugh was happening, and there really hasn't been a lot of chatter since unless I've missed something.
I am sure more news along this front will start to trickle down as we head towards Spring Practice, but I will admit that I am enjoying the calm and the occasional bits of recruiting news for now. NSD might be interesting around here, but the fact we're in a rather quiet stretch is something I take as good news really.

I believe it was Morgan who said that it was all business when he met with Harbaugh.
Edit:
"I went in early and we talked a little, nothing very long," Morgan said. "But you can just tell that he is very intense, very business-like the way he goes about things and I think he is as excited as we are to move forward and play Michigan football and win some football games."

Unfortunetly, I don't think we'll see a MGoBlue-TV strength and conditioning video with players and coaches until after the recruiting signing day. I'd be ok if it came out sooner though.

So far, he is making $16 million per recruit commitment. Great work, if you can find it...

I cannot WAIT to see Jim Harbaugh on the sideline of our first game, donned in the block M hat, a polo shirt, and khakis. I always look forward to football season, but now that we have our first competent coach since Lloyd, I'm even more excited.

You know, no matter when you say "It's been almost a month," you're right.

It's been more than a month... or only a week.
