Ohio State told him he wouldn't have to play school.  That's one of their recruiting edges.  

Remember Adolphus Washington when he said after his official visit that you could not fail out of OSU if you tried (because they dumb it down and then still do the work for you anyhow).

When TomVH was still here I was working on a predictive model based on geography, star ranking, and coaching record.  After he left I quit fine tuning it but I was up to ~80% accuracy when given the top 5 schools.

The most startling thing at the time was that 5-star players generally stay close to home and 3/4-star players moved the most.  In a way I suppose it explains why schools in states with little instate talent MUST have coaching staffs good at developing talent.

I was recently thinking about picking up the project again as things have slowed down at work and I can work on the spreadsheets so it looks like I'm doing productive work.
