Interesting conversation between Beilein and Miles

Submitted by ChicagoB1GRed on

There's been a lot of good will and sportsmanship shown on this board about coach Miles, even when he and coach Beilein shared COY honors. Thought you might enjoy this article, he attributes their exchange and the experience of being thrashed by Michigan as a season-changer for the Huskers. Says something about both of them.

Excerpt and link:

"John's ....a very sincere guy who cares about coaching and coaching his kids, and the league.”

Anyway, good luck in the tourney, I'll be happy if the Huskers get a rematch against Creighton and we're sure as hell not going to be playing long enough to go against UM.

Definitely shows just how respected John is in the league. Most people value his input, and appreciate his commentary. Coach Beilein is truly the class of the conference, on multiple levels.

Has anyone ever heard someone speak ill of him? If it's happened I certainly haven't heard it.

Love Beilein. He is so awesome for this program.

Also, Miles is the man. Makes me happy that UNL will have a great basketball program while I attend school there the next three years. (Hopefully)

Good luck to you all, have you going to the Elite Eight.

It's been said a few times, but that Miles has taken a program that had relatively little history in comparison to others in the country, let alone in his own conference, and not only coached them up to beat or at least threaten those teams with losses, but get the Huskers to the Tourney is a testament to how good he is and how well he can unite a team. If there is anyone who has done more with less and made it work incredibly well, it is Tim Miles.

Yo, Nebraska!!!  Kick ass and hopefully we'll see you in Arlington.  We may not love your team when you beat us (and our run game is complete and total shitshow) but your fans and school are OK in my book - y'all are my anti-Sparty.

I'm pretty sure that most people on this blog are pulling for Nebraska to make a run in the tourney. From a selfish perspective, it makes us look better. But just from entertainment perspective, who doesn't love a run from an 11-seed?? Go Big Red!

Huskers hoops is fun too watch. Morphing into a major program before our eyes. Visiting Lincoln was a great experience, recommended for all sports fans. Sea of Red in downtown before football games is something to see!

But now I am awake. Good read. Beilein is a class act. Brian should make a t-shirt along the lines of the Carr stay classy but with CLASS ACT.
