Interesting BCS Computer Info
While reviewing Jeff Sagarin's Elo Chess BCS computer ratings,
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt09.htm
I found it interesting that a 1AA school, Richmond, is ranked #25 for the purposes of the BCS Standings.
No real point to this, just thought it was interesting.

Perhaps you meant 49th?

The BCS only uses half of Sagarin's ratings. They use the ELO-CHESS part of the ratings in which only winning and losing matters (scoring margin does not play a role). In the ELO-CHESS, Richmond is ranked 25th. Overall, however, Richmond is 49th.

Michigan #46
MSU #43
EMU #181
Delaware State #184
Not that the EMU v Delaware St. thing means anything at all and I think EMU would crush them if they played each other. But, it is interesting that they put an 0-7 team above a 2-4(5) team. It's interesting that the algorithm doesn't absolutely destroy them for not winning a game.
Also, when checking the DSUhornets homepage to see their record they erroneously list the game as a win for the Hornets.
Delaware St 6-63 (W)lol

On the other hand don't the computers have Iowa at #1? I have a hard time swallowing that.

Not just Sagarin has the Hawkeyes at #1, I believe that 5/6 computer polls do.

preface for this comment: i was at iowa game and had a-hole fans around me. i think it would be great if iowa went undefeated and got left out of national championship game. could happen if texas and either florida/alabama go undefeated. sweet justice for snatching our upset bid.
