it has become obvious who our playmakers have been over the past two seasons. The most impressive aspect of our offense is the staff's ability to diversify our attacks, using the same personnel in different schemes. If they take away the inside, we go outside. If they take away the long pass, we go to jet sweeps and screens. Same personnel doing different things. It's obvious Harbaugh, Fisch and Drevno are earning their money and they put in the time. So, too, do the players.

Defensively, we did not commit the same mistakes as we did the previous week but did have some thrown over our heads. The unknown, obviously, was the speed of their wideouts and the accuracy of their qb. It's my guess this week the D will work on depth, with the safetys lining up a bit deeper. I am sure they are aware of the speed possessed by conference foes. I'm guessing they'll adjust accordingly. Impressive so far to me. To others, I think expectations are a bit premature. This is, in reality, the first full recruiting class brought in by this staff.

It is a little difficult to tamper expectations after eight years of less than acceptable football. But it is the wise thing to do, imo. We'll get there. Keep the faith. After 16 games, they are hitting over .800 and should become noticeably better when their recruits man all 22 positions.

Yes, I was one of those very shocked and frustrated at how the game started.  But to see how many tweets of "we lost," "we're going to lose," etc.  Embarrassing how quickly some of the "faithful" give up.  Thankfully, the players are not like some of the fairweather fans.

Going to be a very tough season as ohio and state look better than expected.  At least we know that we will compete each week.

GO BLUE!!
