Insane ending to #1 Virginia @ Louisville
For anyone here who still loves to root against Louisville (AKA all of us), some serious insanity went down to cost Louisville the game tonight on their senior night.
Virginia, down 66-62, is fouled on a 3 with .9 left. They hit the first two and intentionally try to miss the third but are called for a lane violation. On the ensuing inbound Louisville's Deng Adel tries to run the baseline, which is not allowed after a lane violation, and thus a travel is called. With .9 left, Virginia inbounds the ball under Louisville's basket and bank in a 3 to win it at the buzzer.

Insane. Fuck Louisville.
Sorry, but you don't get to make the rules for the language. I think that "a full half-second" would have been better writing, but "whole half-second" is fine.
Pretty sure it was always 0.3.
I forgot other big conferencs haven't started there tournements yet...
This pleases me.
I flipped to this game for a bit and when UL went up 66-62 I changed the channel, figuring it was over. About 10 minutes later I'm scrolling through scores on my phone and I see "Virginia 67, Louisville 66" and if not for the fact that I was already sitting, I'd have fallen over from shock. Really kicking myself for not staying with it to watch it unfold in real time!
For anyone curious, KenPom had UVA's minimum win probability at 0.7% when they were down two after the lane violation.
IIRC, UVA had a crazy comeback to beat Wake Forest two years ago that also required some serious luck and a buzzer-beater.
A well deserved ending for a shithole of a program.
That block was still clean.
