Indoor Track Championships

I am watching the Men's indoor track championships on BTN now (bored) and the first event was the mile where M guys went 1,2 w/ sparty coming in 3rd. The Michigan guy in second coming around the last turn kind of muscles out the sparty guy as he tries to pass on the outside. After the finish the sparty kid goes up to the Michigan guy and pushes him looking for a fight. I couldnt' help but laugh at the thought of two 140 pound white guys fighting at a track meet.

yea, I don't know track etiquette/rules if that was shady or not but it was funny to see the State guy go straight to the Michigan guy and shove him. The M guy that won went over and was like,"you joking brah? going to fight at a track meet? Go back to EL chump."

At the state finals one year, I went to watch my best friends in the 3200 relay (I had graduated right before them). It's really crowded during the relay final. My guys got challened to a fight by a kid from Sparta. It was hilarious, because he picked on the smallest kid on our relay. Then, the other 3, all of whom were muscle bound wrestlers who started on a State Championship wrestling team the year before, approached and backed the kid down. It was hilarious how fast he backed away when the bigger guys came around.

Whenever I ran the mile in high school, you expected there to be a little roughness on the corners, especially toward the end of the race. I didn't see the event live, but I doubt Sparty should be that angry about it. Track and field certainly isn't as physical as other sports, but guys are still competitive and even at 140 lbs, runners can still be pretty strong.
