Indiana Roll Call

Submitted by 1989 UM GRAD on

Despite last Saturday's result, I'm still looking forward to heading to Bloomington this weekend with my wife and half of my kids.

Before the game, we'll be accompanying our 11th grade son on a campus tour...as we are in the early stages of the process of visiting, exploring and considering various non-Michigan options.  (Yes, you can all look forward to seeing his commitment video about 15-18 months from now.)

Due to Indiana's homecoming (and last-minute planning), we aren't staying in Bloomington.  But, we are making lemonade out of lemons and staying in Columbus, IN, which we discovered is a mecca for mid-century modern architecture...which has become a passion for us.  We've been to many FLW homes and are excited to visit a Saarinen-designed one tomorrow in Columbus.

Plus, it looks as though we are going to have perfect weather this weekend!

Who is else is going to Bloomington?  What do you have planned?

Currently looking for a ride to the game on Saturday. Live in Northville and can meet anywhere in Ann Arbor early Saturday morning or Friday. I can toss gas money and bring a case of beer.

I’ll be there with Family and Friends.  My Dad’s getting up there and we’re trying to make it an easy outing for him.

Are there bars close to the stadium where we can pre-game eat and drink?  Or should we simply post up in the parking lot for tailgating?

Thanks for any help and Go Blue!

My wife and I and our 11th grade twins are taking an admissions visit tomorrow, staying in Brown County (didn't realize it was homecoming at IU), and watching the game from Row 40 in Section 8.  My son (boy and girl twins) has had his heart set on going to Michigan since he was about 9 days old.  I'm cautiously optimistic, but IU is a great backup.  Wisconsin and Colorado are also backup plans for him.

But my office needs me to work this weekend. Two years I went and almost watch the team blow it but they were able to tie the game up in the last minute and win in OT. IU offense is not as good as 2 years ago but their defense looks better. I see this game being another nail biter.

You'll love Columbus (IN). I've lived their almost my entire life. Right now there are art installations all over town celebrating our small towns love of architecture. I've attended the last 2 games at IU, up in the air if I'll be at this one. Not many bars close to Memorial, but they have a friendly tailgating scene.

I’m literally disembarking from a Carnival cruise in an hour. Taking my 11 year old son to his first Michigan game tomorrow (we live in TN so don’t get to AA often). Very excited about the game and glad to see the MGoBlog boards have returned to a state of semi-sanity after the loss. I’ll go on more cruises if sanity is the result. Go blue!

Will be there.  Traveling from Indy and taking my girls (5/3) to their first game.  Weather looks great and you can't beat $10 youth seats!
