If you had...

to, for some terrible, terrible reason, turn in your Michigan Fan card and adopt some other college football program as your own, who would it be? I would like to pick either Wisconsin or PSU because for some reason I have always liked those programs, but it would be to tragic to have to root against Michigan every year. I think I would untimately hop on the Texas bandwagon. They seem to have a clean program, and generally have fairly classy players. Their coach seems like a nice guy. You don't hear a ton of crap about their fans. Good tradition, average stadium. Great rivalry game with OU. Also under consideration would be Georgia Tech or Virginia Tech. Hook 'Em Horns!

Well I have family that went to Michigan and family that went to Toledo. So I root for them after Michigan. But I was definately rooting for Michigan when they played against each other. Also I root for Virginia Tech after Michigan. I know a couple of people that go there, they have great fans, great stadium, great coach.

After living in Gainesville during football season, I would deff have to say UF. at least for this year, cuz they are going to have some tough times after Tebow leaves and Brantley is their only option. plus, I would get to enjoy night games.

As much as I hate the use of the term "fan card," I'd go for the Rice Owls. Academics, kick ass baseball team, a stadium that details Nobel Prize winners over lack of Heismans, an endowment that ensures anyone who gets in won't have to worry about money or financial aid, a sweet campus and bar area right near campus.

My dad went to Michigan Tech! Go... Engineers?? I would probably go with Texas. I have a good number of friends here in Chicago who went to school there. The people are generally nice, and the girls are hot, perfect combo. UCLA would probably come next, b/c they hate USC as much as I do. For those who said Nebraska... Really? I hate the Huskers b/c 1997. Bad reason maybe, but not gonna change my mind.

For a long time I claimed to be a fake alumnus of Northwestern, which is to say I knew enough about Northwestern that I could pass for an insider. But I really don't like purple. That said, I think it would have to be California. A fine academic institution, good famous alumni to point to, easy transition of color schemes, a fun college town, some neat game day traditions, and an end of season game against a rival in red. The whole thing practically rewrites itself.

For a couple reasons 1. I currently attend (didn't go to UM Flint's program because I would have had to take too many classes again. That and the wife didn't want to live in the hood for a couple years) 2. Brian Kelly seems like an upright guy who's shown up Dantonio and has ties to Michigan (the state)

va tech first because they were my first favorite college team but if i had to turn in that fan card too it'd probably be LSU since my mom went there and i had a sweet LSU shirt when i was 7

I would probably lose interest in College Football all together. I woul have to have that MIB thingy erase my memory of Michigan ever existing and then maybe go toward CMU or maybe Cal. Really, I can't get my head around the idea of not having Mivhigan Football be a part of my life. It is my one true passion in life outside of my son, of course. After my 11-yr old boy, NOTHING on this earth gets me fired up like Michigan Football. I will take on all comers to discuss M. I'd take a pay cut to work for the Football Program. If every other team sucked forever, including the almighty Red Wings, and Michigan Football was here and successful, I would be happy until the day I die.

Currently live in Atlanta...went to GT for grad school...easy choice for me. If I had to go outside that box it gets much harder. How about the Badgers. I hear Madison is a great town and the football scene always looks fun. And they play hockey...a bonus!

they are the d 1-a team with the worst winning percentage that has played at least 300 total games -- the opposite of Michigan. i would feel so backwards not rooting for the Wolverines.
