I want Clemson to beat OSU

Submitted by MGlobules on

I want Clemson to kick OSU's ass. I love DeShaun Watson, and I think Clemson is a fine, if erratic team. Meanwhile, I have no sympathy or respect for OSU left. Don't give a crap about the B1G winning, though I would in almost any other case. Alabama is one of the best professional college teams ever assembled, and is going to win it all in any case. So let's all root for OSU to be annihilated by Clemson. Who agrees with me?

I want a couple thousand dollars.  No, I don't even want a million.  Not even a half-milly or a 100k.  Just a few thousand dollars to completely catch up in life, blow up some basic debts (loans)...and put a few bucks towards the stock market game.

I'm not that fucking lucky to walk into that, though, and I'd wager $$ I don't have and say that I'm also unlucky enough that OSU will be in the National Championship again and probably, somehow, win the damn thing.

fwiw this year, with the officiating mess, and for personal reasons, will probably stay neutral and uninvested  in the OSU Clemson game, and probably root for USC over PSU.  Normally would root for Iowa vs. Florida, but because we play Florida first game next year, probably pull for Florida so they are higher rated when we play Florida at start of 2017 season.  Still rooting for the rest of the Big 10 in remaining bowl games but if they don't do something to improve replay and game officiating, can foresee  a day when I eventually give up on rooting for Big 10, beyond always rooting for  Michigan.  May just be too soon for me perhaps.

to lose every chance they get. I want Urban Meyer to disappear.  I want OSU to get hit with sanctions.  I want OSU to go through an actual fucking slump rather then just average one loss per year.

I just file this under "no duh".

I think Clemson was fraudulent all year and got bailed out by NC State's kicker and the ACC refs @ FSU...not to mention L'ville's WR stepping out of bounds before he picked up the first down at the end of that game.  At least if OSU makes it to the title game, it should keep up the talk about the B1G being the best conference.

I'm more interested in seeing PSU lose by whatever score Iowa lost by last year.  That would make me a happy panda.

I don't know how we break the OSU stranglehold in Ohio, but they're not as hard to beat down South and out West.  But Clemson is becoming the cool alternative to Alabama for kids down there and on the East Coast.  If Clemson plays for their second consecutive title, it will be even harder to beat them with our expanded recruiting footprint.

I don't know, in the spirit of conference unity and all of the warm fuzzies it gives me I think I'd really like to see OSU pull this one ou---WHO THE FUCK AM I KIDDING I HOPE CLEMSON CRUSHES THE EVER-LOVING SHIT OUT OF THEM.

Who the hell wants OSU to win, other than OSU fans? Anyone who pulls the "root for the big ten" bull shit is a true idiot.

Especially after all the love I saw in that thread last week for Dabo and the Tigers.  He does things the right way, there is no shady recruiting there, his players are role mo-wait, their game is over?  It didn't work?  In that case, Yay, meteor!

because bowl performance plays a significant role in the perception of  conference strength. So OSU's wins over Clemson and Bama will help lift the conference up as a whole. The higher perceived competition within the B1G equates to a stronger schedule and more ammunition for CFP support for 2017 and beyond.

However, there is a distinct difference between the impact these wins would have on OSU's program and that of the entire conference. That being said, once we bring home the golden vagina and you guys take care of FSU, along with (hopefully) many other B1G bowl wins, the B1G will be the talk of the town and not thought of just being top heavy.

I believe this bowl year specifically is of great importance to the B1G conference. Ever since Wisconsin upset LSU in week one, all we've heard is how our conference is far and away the best in the country. If we fail to meet expectations and get thumped early and often (PSU vs USC for instance) and end up with a losing bowl record, analysts will say they may have been wrong about the B1G's dominance and we would lose our grasp on being considered the premier league in college football. Bowl season leaves lasting impressions that will be talked about for months in the offseason. Its best we all end things on the right foot.

TL;DR: B1G bowl wins improve conference perception.

Anyone see that jack hole Zeke Elliot rub the win in to Rich Eisen last week? Yeah I want Clemson and their shit defense to find a way to win. Won't happen though. Osus D is magnitudes better than Clemson's...

I hate OSU, I hate Clemson especially that dirty linebacker they have (although I wouldn't mind seeing him light Barrett or Samuel up), I hate Washington and Alabama has irritating fans who seem to know nothing outside of how to run a tractor but I don't hate the team itself... Roll tide I guess because this is a shitty group of teams.
