I'm meeting Trey Burke today!

Submitted by WingsNWolverines on
Trey Burke is back in his home city of Columbus today signing autographs at Sports Possessions inside Tuttle Mall in Dublin Ohio! I'm very excited to meet the man who lead our Wolverines to a Final Four and national title appearance. I'm having him sign my final four shirt and Michigan banner but most importantly I'm very excited to thank him for everything he did for our team. This is something I have been looking forward to all May! I will post pics from the encounter after I am done! He's there from noon to 2. GO BLUE!

I met Taylor Lewan at the Blue Lep once. I was pissing, and he came up to the urinal next to me.  I looked up and told him he was tall. He patted me on the head. We giggled. BFFs.

I guess I just don't get how this is really "meeting" Trey Burke. You're going to walk up, awkwardly talk to him for 30 seconds, he probably will barely look up at you while he signs your stack of gear, and that'll be it. It's a financial transaction.

He's an enthsiastic fan, and it does take cojones to walk around Columbus with Michigan gear.  I think he has probably suffered enough that the CSB stuff isn't necessary.

Besides, Trey Burke signing a Final Four shirt in the heart of Columbus, when they could have had him if they had worked hard enough and wanted him, is some of the most delicious "come-uppance" that could ever be delivered to Buckeye fans.

Question - would it be bad form to have him sign a mini Michigan football helmet since it wasn't his sport?

edit - nevermind, $40 for an autograph is a no-go.  Granted that's not Trey's fault - more than likely it's a contractual obligation by whoever is sponsoring this.

His signing in gr was $40 too. Also any autograph thread on mgoblog has the "we are above the autograph hobby" posters. I'm sure you guys like something I wouldn't care for either but I wouldn't come into the thread and shit on it. A lot like nba threads. "Oh I hate the nba. Think I'll enter the thread and trash it. " Oh I blacked out... was I ranting?

I'm at the bar right now and I'm waiting for my Guinness to arrive.
I'm so excited! I'll post pics when it comes. I just want to thank Guiness for making my Saturday afternoon jobs seem worth it and making me feel like a champion
