Huge visit from a '13 recruit at the game today

Submitted by MGoCooper on

Henry Poggi was at the game today, and that is a huge visit for Michigan. He keeps his visits really quiet, so looks like not everyone knew about it. This guys offer list is going to get huge, and it is already impressive. I think it's scary that I have friends that recognized him at the game, and can barely remember their wives birthdays. Really puts life into perspectie for you.....

Look, man. So do lots of us. I think it's a major screw up to forget a wife's bday, but, say, if you're hammered with your buddies, away from said wives, ....aww, hell, I don't know. I'm not married or anything. But I am just saying, I think I get your principle, and I don't disagree, but nothing's that black and white. Say....he was....I don't know, drinking all day and there were strippers, a limo, the moon, a jet, Vegas, Slick Rick (assuming his passport/visa issue got worked out; not sure if it did), Charlie Murphy, a kiddie pool, a shit-ton of illegal stuff, and other crazy shit going on? I'd give a pass on forgetting the wife's bday, and I imagine getting laid would still happen.

Henry is the son of Biff Poggi, head coach at Gilman.

Gilman and Biff were indirectly featured in the book "Season of Life" by Jeffrey Marx, which every human should read. Basically, Henry is likely as good of a kid as one could find, if the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Saw him start as a sophomore for Gilman.  Gilman is consistently good  just like Good Counsel, MD.  You recruit the mid-Atlantic and MD, you get talent.  Ask Penn State.

This kid is from Baltimore.  I wonder if he is a fan of the Ravens, and if he is I wonder how much it will help us having Mattison as our D coordinator after being with the Ravens.
