There is a burlesque show here in Chicago which "re-enacts" A New Hope. This has nothing to do with nothing, but seeing it is on my mind. I expect to be very confused about my dislike of stormtroopers in the near future.

They expect the Jabrill image to grace the front of the actual HTTV. But for compliance reasons, the stormtrooper will grace the front of the Kickstarter for the remaining few days.

This blog needs a meme generator? There goes the Internet....for real this time, not all the times where we've said that before and nothing notable really happened.

In all seriousness though, that would be interesting to see if this place could work its way into the most meme-rich sites officially. Unofficially, between all the common catchphrases and quasi-traditions on this site, we might be already there.

Since we've been self-publishing:

2012: Denard Robinson

2013: Taylor Lewan

2014: Jake Ryan

2015: Jim Harbaugh

Until last year we always had a current athlete. As WD noted, every publication that covers collegiate athletics puts players on their covers. The fair use argument for using a photo of a person you are writing about is on extremely sound footing. HTTV will have Jabrill on the cover as long as I'm the editor of it.

As for the Kickstarter image, let's just say I don't have any relationship with Disney, so if they decide they have a problem with it I won't hold back.

I vote for setting aside a portion of the HTTV money each year for the player who graces the cover until said player graduates. Then do an m-go-exclusive with them, present them with a free book and a check for a cut of the funds.

This is likely some sort of violation.

Ignore this plan.

More importantly: when can I download it officially? I am going on a transatlantic flight (honeymoon to Norway woo!) and I really want to be able to read it. We leave Sunday so I think it's available by then right?

Also I use the word "read" loosely. I will CONSUME it with my eyeballs.

THIS sunday? I don't think all the articles will even be in. In fact I'm almost sure they won't be.

(they were due a month ago but, you know...)

July 4 weekend for kickstarter backers is the goal. PDF version of the actual book will come out before that for kickstarter backers. I'll have a digital edition on Kindle and iBooks soon after.

Ohhh, my bad. I read the date that the kickstarter funds and for some reason thought (hoped?) it would be close to the print date. I think I also saw another poster on here say something about it being ready this week (/passtheblame).

I'll just read last year's; it's cool. But seriously thank you so much for all you do; this magazine is worth much more than what we're paying, so please don't take the above as impatience.
