How much more pleasant is your office today?
Directly across the aisle from me there's an M flag hanging where once was an S flag. A certain green-clad co-worker lost a bet. (Wasn't me who made it - we outnumber the Sparties in this area.) She's good people so not too much of unnecessary smack talk today, but the M fan who did make the bet asked me if anything looked different, and I couldn't help remarking that for some reason the aisle looked extra classy today. As I type this my coworker is suggesting that she's getting more compliments than usual on the state of her cube and perhaps we should invite more people over. The flag has to stay up until the CoFoPoff final.
How about it, Monday crew, any pleasing fallout from Saturday at work today? Perhaps some areas of the office a little quieter than they have been? Anybody who really needed a dose of comeuppance?

I'm an engineer. We probably have more Huskies, heck Blue Devils (NTBD), than Sparties.

I assume you don't mean UConn?! Michigan Tech is a great school.

Which Blue Devils are those?

The office here has been very, very calm. The Michigan fans are chatting and smiling and wishing each other a Happy Halloween, and the MSU contingent of the office has not moved from their desk for a while now, choosing merely to hammer away at keys and look at charts all morning. It has been rather pleasant.
I might go talk OSU-Northwestern with our resident Buckeye just to get some football talk in because it won't come from the usual people today.

so for me I don't have as many Sparties to deal with, but did reply in a post the other day how much MSU crap I see people wearing around here now, when 10 years ago I never saw one MSU shirt. Well spent the weekend wearing Michigan gear around and it felt great. The Broncos won yesterday also so most people in a good mood here!

but I caught the game at a tiny dive bar with about 6 other M fans & thier wives.
The place was completely empty when we walked in except for 1 lonely Sparty sitting at the bar drinking alone.
We were nice as can be during the game but this pathetic asshole just can't stop shit talking about:
Sp8 "piece of shit, not an NFL QB"
Peppers "overhyped thug"
Michigan team & fans "damn dirty arrogant sons of bitches'
LOL he lasted about 15 min then left with his tail between his legs mumbling something about "the last 8 years"
Such a sorrry sparty stereotype that I could hardly beleive it.

Honestly, a lot of spartans are more mouthy and nasty now than before the game. As we all know, over the years they have mastered the art of diminishing everything that Michigan does. They are in full swing with that now. On top of that, wishing serious injury and even death upon Butt, Bush, and Peppers, because you know, ours is a classless program/fan base.
Although they are not all quiet, and even though we didn't blow them out, I get great pleasure from their hypocritical hissy fits. Our defense played pretty poorly in the second half, which hurts them even more since they were given that slight glimmer of hope momentarily. Now their program and fans are reduced to moral victories, excuses, and hurling insults. All is right with the world.

Wonder if Devin Bush knew he crushed one of the guys who posted those "100 days til they're locked in our stadium" tweets?

This office of yours sounds like a pretty sweet place.

My wife is a high school teacher. The thing I forget to realize is that most of these kids have never seen anything but Michigan State being good and Michigan being bad since they've started watching football (15-16 year old kids). They don't know what to do with themselves now that the team they've attached themselves to is suddenly a smoldering tire fire. I'm guessing after Christmas break most of these brats will be sporting brand new Michigan Jump Man gear and claiming they've always been a Michigan fan!

As will most of the people who were Sparty fans the last 8 years . . . . .

I have two in middle school and the one told me that they have all jumped off the Sparty bandwagon and oddly jumped on the OSU bandwagon. But that was two weeks ago, so who knows who they are cheering for today. Kids are weird.

My daughters soccer team has a girl with a Sparty Dad (grad I think) that has added a new spartan-branded piece of clothing every year to where he was literally head to toe for the MSU/ND game.
After they started losing he subtlely started replacing sweatpants, then jacket, then hat, etc.
Now he just wears Detroit Lions gear!
LOL not much of an upgrade buddy.

Nothing changed here, but I work in Oklahoma. I can't think of any times I've met a Sparty fan here, but I have met many Michigan fans!
