How do I survive a business trip to Ohio?

Submitted by Waynes World on January 13th, 2015 at 4:47 PM
Unfortunately I have to travel on business the next couple of days in Ohio. Does anyone have any advise how I might survive this? Even the hotel I just checked into has a newspaper about the game at check in. HELP!

I hear you.  Work was rough.  Non stop OSU and Urban ass kissing all day long.  Then I pick up my 9 year old from school and I notice that every single teacher has OSU shirts and jerseys on.  What the hell is that?

Since it's a business trip, just keep a smug thought in your mind that whatever you are doing there has the ultimate goal of taking money that currently exists in the state of Ohio, and removing it from said state.

I live in Ohio, just outside of Columbus. Things have been bad recently, but I have found that yelling "HARBAUGH!!!!!!!!" at any osu fan giving me shit shuts them up.

Good Luck!

I literally wonder about this guy every damn time they show him on tv and how the hell he manages to afford front row seats at every game. Mostly because I assume he doesn't have a job and is dressed in that getup 24/7.

I can't believe how some are acting on here. I live in Ohio and I don't give a shit they won. we have Harbaugh now. their day of just steam rolling the big ten just got a lot harder. now if hoke was still here then yeah I would feel like shit.

There's no end of things you can do.

  • Quit your job. Must have a bad business model if it does business in Ohio.
  • Go undercover. Don't mention Michigan, Ohio State, nothing.
  • If colleagues know you are a Michigan fan, just smile blandly, say "good job," and move on.
  • Learn from this. When Michigan starts to win National Championships, be polite about it.
  • Do your best to be as condescending and patronizing as possible, albeit with a thin veneer of politeness.

There are a number of things you shouldn't do.

  • Don't just say "Harbaugh." I mean, you can say, "I think things are going to turn around soon," but they haven't yet.
  • Don't be a jerk. Just because someone else is an ass is no reason for you to be one.
  • Dont get drunk and do something you'd regret in the morning. Last thing you need to do is to create Michigan - Ohio State spawn.
