How bad have your picks been?

Well, my bracket is done. 6-6 right now, with Texas losing and Tennesse tied. There's a chance I'll end the day at .500. How are you doing. Is there anyone that is doing better than .750?

There's quite a few on the mgoblog group with 11/12 with all of them missing the RAWRCATZRAWR (Ohio for the uninitiated). I'm only at 8/12, but Georgetown and Marquette are both out of my Sweet 16.

Lost 2 elite 8 spots in Gtown and Florida (why the hell did I pick Florida, they suck). Other than that, I've gotten everything right except Vandy, who I have losing next round anyway to Butler. We'll see how the rest of the night goes. I have Wake, SDSU and New Mexico picked. Kansas is a given. I am also annoyed with the level of interest at my work. When I asked my coworkers if they filled out a bracket, I got, "For what?". Come on.

Hey, the MORE annoying thing is that one person on my team went to Michigan and is a fairweather type of fan. My MSU team member knows more about Michigan football than my Michigan team member. It makes me want to puke. But yeah, I work in market research. People who are "Michigan fans" try to talk to me about football occasionally. It just makes me want to punch myself in the face repeatedly because most of the time they don't know what they're talking about. They'll talk about the state of the team and how "Rich Rodriguez needs to go", and then I'll say things like "hey, at least Brandon Graham was awesome", and they'll look at me like "hey, I know who Tate Forcier is". Assholes. Don't talk to me if you don't what the hell you're talking about. I am ranting. And I also want a defensive line filled with 4 BG's.

from the can't judge a book by its cover dept.: colleagues are surprising I've found. the random guy at work who seems like he's never tuned into a sporting event is a sparty and knows as much about michigan athletics as the media guide. I was blown away by the depth/knowledge of the guy. he's also a reasonable fella to talk sparty smack with. fortunately I work with 90+ michigan graduates so it's a favorable environment to find water cooler banter.

I'm shocked to be 10-2. Of course, there was the potential for upsets, which led me to shoot some "three pointers" because of the expected value, but a lot of games that could have gone either way have come out in my favor. After a year of dong punches, I s'pose it's just mean reversion.

I've got Murray St in the Sweet 16, so I was a little nervous watching the end of that game. Truthfully though, I just root for upsets, because that's just much more fun. Tough break for Robert Morris today, I wanted them pull it off even though I have Nova in the Sweet 16.

Has anyone else looked at the top brackets on yahoo and noticed that all of the people with perfect brackets are girls? I'm not necessarily saying that they all got lucky and guessed. But... well maybe i'm just pissed that i'm 8 of 12 and have 2 teams in my elite eight already out.

I had my ex-gf fill out a bracket once. She decided to pick teams based on how much she liked the name of the school. She surprisingly did pretty well.

A woman coworker once filled out one of those football parlay tickets and hit 10/10 only by liking the name or the mascots of the teams. She only played for $1 but still won $100.

11 of 12, didnt have georgetown going too far. Need texas, new mexico, kansas, and tennessee. I have georgia tech over georgetown in the sweet 16 so I wouldnt be heartbroken if tennessee lost.

My 4 year old is in the top ten of 82 entries and "picked" her bracket by me reading the team nicknames and she chose which one she liked better. (I filled in all 1-4 seeds in the first round for her... the rest were hers). She was all about Wildcats and Kentucky, Villanova, and Kansas St are in her final 4. She has the Buckeys in the final four also.... (already defying me). Kentucky beating K-St. She'll probably win. I am in 54th place.

6 out of 13 right now. Pretty poor, but I have all of my next round still in tact, which is what I look at this early. I have Butler and Tennessee in the Elite 8, so if Tennessee can hang on, today's upsets should create a much easier path for those two, and I will surpass my buddies picks in later rounds.

I agree. I'm glad I didn't go solely on that. If you notice, though, he has the Big East as his fourth best conference when many considered it the best...which is pretty much playing itself out, what with them being 1-3 so far.

Hard as it is to remember, keep in mind that the only number that really matters is possible points. I'm in 207th place, but my possible points is only 8 behind first, so that isn't insurmountable. With so much weight on the champion, these games don't mean much unless you start losing teams that you have advancing pretty deep (or if you picked Kansas to win, like most of the world)

7 friggin points. By far the worst first day I have ever had. I lost every buzzer beater/last second shot. Such a shitty day. Two sweet 16 teams out and I had Hoyas in the elite 8. Bummer dude.
