Looks like the meeting went well.. Blake on twitter...
@BlakeCo1 "Those who stay will be champions"
For what its worth it is also being reported that Hoke visited Darian Cooper. I am expecting nothing else but a committment from him. What is stronger than snake oil?

But it's really, really good at obscuring the truth.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:43 PM ^
This should go in the "oogle" thread to counterbalance the abomination unfolding there.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:02 PM ^
Agreed that thread went bad quick!
January 19th, 2011 at 9:51 PM ^
thats huge to keep him. If all goes well in the next couple weeks, we should have a pretty solid secondary for a while! *fingers crossed*
January 19th, 2011 at 9:52 PM ^
What do you think Hoke does on in home visits? I place money on parchesi then dinner at Arby's with a brief chat about pro wrestling. Tag'em and Bag'em.
January 19th, 2011 at 9:53 PM ^
Scratch parchesi add Rockem Sockem and I concur.
January 19th, 2011 at 9:56 PM ^
I bet they play in Michigan snuggies.
January 19th, 2011 at 9:59 PM ^
That was all I wanted for Christmas but NOPE fml again.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
The snuggie, girl, or both?
January 19th, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
C'mon man. You gotta leave the guy room for a punch line.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:06 PM ^
My bad. I have faith he can come up with something. I have a habitual problem of stealing punch lines. I apologize. I am in a 12 step program for it and would appreciate everyone's support in the matter.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
HI JHACKNEY.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:11 PM ^
Well, the first step is admitting you have a problem. We're all with you, sir.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
Damn u Jhackney
January 19th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
Will you still love me?
/intense flamage.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:26 PM ^
Only if you send me my Christmas present wish. Better late than never. (U see how I left this open for you? Gives the other person a chance to come back unlike some other assholes on here)
January 19th, 2011 at 10:30 PM ^
Why you gotta harp on the guy? Hasn't he been through enough tonight?
/casting the first stone
January 19th, 2011 at 10:37 PM ^
You want what for x-mas? Do you mean the snuggie?!!111!!!?1
January 19th, 2011 at 10:40 PM ^
You'll know Jhackney You'll know.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:44 PM ^
about the fucking golf shoes!
January 19th, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
Michigan was founded in 17 C.E.? Wow, that makes us over 1,500 years older then Harvard and all those other rotten Ivies! Suck it East Coast!
January 19th, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
I'll never forget the tough 3-2 win over the Roman Gladiators in 14 C.E. Tough road game at the Coliseum. Felt bad for the Gladiators. The AD fed them to lions after their loss.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
Don't forget about that 30-year series vs. Germany from 1618 to 1648. Crazy turnover for the Germans in those days, seemed like every year we were playing a completely different team. Thank goodness they finally got the Holy Roman League up and running again.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:22 PM ^
Don't forget the 1,000 year series with Constantinople. Their style of play was truly Byzantine.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
wtf is C.E.?
A.D.?
January 19th, 2011 at 10:25 PM ^
C.E. = Common Era (or Christian Era), same starting point as B.C. / A.D. Most historians don't use B.C. and A.D. because the Latin acronyms are more explicitly Christianity-centric.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
they're still dating things from the birth of Christ, so it's kinda dumb
January 19th, 2011 at 10:40 PM ^
AD is Anno Domini - the year of our Lord
January 19th, 2011 at 10:22 PM ^
Why do you think we have those "Harvard: The Michigan of the East" tshirts? That's not just wishful thinking.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
While we were settling the wilderness and building North Campus, the Yalies were eating acorns in the forest.
January 20th, 2011 at 12:54 AM ^
I feel the need to respond. The Simpsons snipes give me a trigger finger ya know.
January 19th, 2011 at 9:55 PM ^
a gym bag of cash and a tractor. maybe a lexus.
January 19th, 2011 at 9:57 PM ^
Even though my friends laugh at me, one of my favorite movies.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:35 PM ^
Underrated performance by Nick Nolte. I think he tried to outwork and out act a script that wasn't set up for that. More or less they were trying to make a fat profit a basketball version of the James Caan classic "The Program". Still "Blue Chips" is a quality watch.
January 19th, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
Hoosiers?
January 19th, 2011 at 10:04 PM ^
Blue Chips, but the kid in question in that scene was from Indiana.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:10 PM ^
All I could think of was Indian. So I took a wild guess, but blue chips is a good movie too.
January 19th, 2011 at 9:57 PM ^
Does he sit down for dinner with the family?
Does he show up with a gigantic bucket of KFC?
Does he bring DVD's of past defenses to watch?!?
I almost wish TomVH could ask this question to the recruits for us.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
I agree, i would love to know what actually goes on and what type of stuff they talk about.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
He plays Scrabble! He said so in his presser!
January 19th, 2011 at 10:41 PM ^
I'll bet as everyone is digging in, Hoke talks about how even though he'll eat the spicy curly fries, he likes to have the option of the traditional like the old days. Can almost hear him state firmly "This is Arbys" as he shakes his head in dismay.
