They might not be great options, but via trades or minor league call ups, they can try to improve the roster. M hockey is stuck with the same bunch all season.

It sucks when you can't simply outspend the competition. Blashill deserves some blame also. They might've won their first round series last year if they would've played Athanasiou more or Mantha at all. Brendan Smith was our best D-man and we didn't start the series with him.

Couple games I saw I didn't think the goaltending was bad, the D just hung the goalie out to dry. And with no offense, we need the goalies to stand on their heads, and that's just not happening.

Went to the game and sat in the end where Michigan shot once. During that period there was maybe three minutes of game action in that end. Offensively it reminded me of those years the Wings would get to the playoffs and get absolutely snuffed by teams like the Ducks.
