They seem very skeptical on Hill, and I think (not said directly to me) that although he wants to play he may have to miss game due to rules.  Lots of Ambry and Bwat at practice, and Ambry looks real good.  Did not see Keoka or Nico this morning, but words directly out of Karan mouth: "I'm playing".

Also Isaac was out there but does not look right I did not see Kareem.  WS wearing red and throwing on sidelines and doing drills.

The biggest aspect of Hill's absence would be his run support on the edge. I'm sure Ambry Thomas would be fine covering whichever WRs Wisconsin has left, but he may be a slight step down when it come to tackling Taylor on outside runs.

I've found Ghost of Jermaine to be reasonably credible in recent weeks, but I kind of agree here--this is a pretty public space. We have photographic evidence of staffers checking Mgoblog (specifically, looking for a reaction to the Harbaugh podcast) and it is likely some players snoop around as well. They are, after all, getting talked about quite a bit here.

I say that to say this: umbig11 has developed a habit of posting quality insider nuggets in threads that are only vaguely related started by someone else, and that seems to be a good balance. Too much real info and the reigns may get pulled back. Wouldn't be too hard for people to figure out who you are if you give out too much.

Oh, and be careful about editorializing--you stated and have since retracted a statement that Speight may get a handshake at the end of the season. Your retraction, which was well worded, stated that you drew that conclusion from the lack of contact Speight had with Pep. However, if you have real info, people hang on everything you say and mixing inferences like that in with real facts will jeopardize your credibility. Not trying to be harsh here, I understand what you were saying now, but care must be taken. Rumors can get out of hand quickly, and certain rumors can become so explosive that Brian is required to investigate and either verify a claim or repudiate you.

That actually happened with WD, when national media were running with the stuff WD posted as if it were reported by Mgoblog itself.

I'm not saying this to be harsh. Your stuff has been really helpful, IMO, and I have cited your info several times in the past couple of weeks. Just trying to provide some constructive criticism.

Does anyone know anything about James yoder from chatsports? He was saying it's pretty likely that he's not playing. Also said it's close to a FACK that lavert will miss as well. I just found chatsports and he says a lot about Michigan rumors so I was wondering how credible he is.

People are dancing around the issue in these comments but it's not just that people have seen some questionable stuff from chatsports; it's that it has been revealed to be a total scam. They actually developed a character named "Ace Williams" that alternated between copying other stuff already revealed as breaking news, giving "insider info" that was so vague it was unfalsifiable, and flat making stuff up that was false. Brian fisked some of their stuff at one point and it became verbotten here.

Last year someone did some looking into chatsports and learned that the whole thing is a bizarre scam. Of course, careful readers already knew the product was a scam, but even the business model was fraudulent. I'm surprised they're still operating at all.

Glad Higdon is planning to play (allegedly) this is key for us. We can rest our corners and still win Saturday.
