Sprint user with 2% battery. Do. Not. Want.
March 19th, 2019 at 10:17 PM ^
He's clearly persistent since he found a way to get Sprint to connect to the internet.
March 19th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
I am a Sprint user and this is precisely what I was thinking.
March 19th, 2019 at 10:51 PM ^
I've had Sprint for 2 years now, never had any connectivity issues. Of course I live in a large city and very rarely am outside of one, so probably don't see the coverage limitations others might.
March 20th, 2019 at 12:11 AM ^
Ditto on Sprint. The only time I had a coverage problem was in Montana. Otherwise, rock solid everywhere.
And I use about 50 GB worth of data a month.
I can tell you in southern Ohio, a pinecone has better reception than Sprint
March 20th, 2019 at 11:38 AM ^
Ironically, I've never had a problem with my pinecone in 11 years.
I've never had a problem with sprint in 11 years.

That's good news If he had Verizon and a full charge I'd be worried we were using bagmen.
He's clearly not giving 100%
March 20th, 2019 at 11:16 AM ^
Sprint customer for almost 20 years. From a value standpoint they are the best option out there. All carriers have challenging coverage areas....Sprint's biggest problem is tackling the perception issue they have from when they legitimately had issues 5+ years ago when they went thru a network modernization initiative.
Getting that tweet out with 2% battery before the phone died, proves he's clutch under pressure.

6'6" / 280 as a sophomore? He's been eating his Wheaties.
He looks very lean and athletic for a guy that size.
March 19th, 2019 at 10:52 PM ^
Very lean is right. If he's really 280 right now then he's easily going to get into that 310-315 range and carry it just fine. As you would expect he still has some footwork issues but he's also very light on his feet. Love how well he can anchor himself for a sophomore.

Gio is a pancake maker. Love his enthusiasm and motor
March 19th, 2019 at 10:25 PM ^
Well...he's a large human?
March 19th, 2019 at 10:34 PM ^
I like that he's a large human who also plays basketball.
Recently showed out at some camp/training event and didn't lose a rep against competition that included several DL with P5 offers per Webb. No rankings yet so a guy new to the scene.
No rankings? Then how am I supposed to know whether I should be happy or pissed?
He’s no Blake Carringer.

I agree. I don't know what to think until Magnus or umbig11 tells me. :)

That name has a nice euphony to it.

Welcome Giovanni, way to GoBlue!
Hopefully he can "Guide" some other northern metro detroit linemen into the 2021 class.

After hearing Sam talk about him today. Wooooo, yes!!!!
March 19th, 2019 at 11:59 PM ^
Like where this is headed. Lack of ranking means nothing as a soph.
Based on nothing more than seeing him in his Twitter commitment pictures and the way he carries 260-280lbs as a 16 year old, I'm going out on a limb and predicting he ends up as a top 100 recruit before it's all over.
Based on nothing more than this message, I agree and will raise you to top 50 because why not.
This kid is a sophomore? He looks like he is already in college.
March 20th, 2019 at 11:06 AM ^
If you told me he was 30, I wouldn't argue.
I'm going to go ahead and say he is of Arabic descent, and I know from experience have grown up with many Arabic kids in my neighborhood that they do tend to tend to look older at a young age. With boys it's facial hair and with girls it's....other things. Suffice to say if I see a really, really smoking hot young Arabic woman I tend to check myself because I know in reality she could be 15.
247 says he's 6'6" 280lbs. I'm sure that's a bit exaggerated, but if it's even close then he's quite the specimen for a 16 year old. He's looks very lean. I have no idea how his feet and overall athleticism are on tape, but I assume Coach Warinner sees something in him to offer and accept a commitment this early in the process. Welcome aboard young man! Now go out and recruit those guys from Clarkston to join you.
Nothing confusing about his tape...the kid is a helluva athlete who plays through the whistle and enjoys driving his man into the ground...this is as a 15/16 year old kid!!! This is what top 5***** players look like.
March 20th, 2019 at 10:32 AM ^
He has really good feet and high athleticism, which is on full display in his film at a recent camp. The guy didn't really lose a rep, although he needs to add some strength. It appears that he is in basketball shape right now, and he carries more weight in the football season.
If you look at the picture of him and Harbaugh on twitter, it looks like he is probably 2" taller than Jim. Since Jim is about 6'2'' maybe 6'3'' these days, I'd put this guy at 6'4.5". If he has the wingspan to play OT, it won't matter. Ryan Clady is listed at 6'6", but I believe he is shorter.
March 20th, 2019 at 11:24 AM ^
Look at his pic next to Jim. He's a few inches taller - 6'6 can't be too exaggerated. 6'5 maybe, still growing though.
2021??!
eeffff....
Waiting for the Vincent Smith approval.
Something, something. T Shirts and Ohio.
Forgot the side of hot cakes.
What made that post legend was that the auteur hit return 57 times, not so much the actual content.
Really excited about this guy. A real dude, in spectacular shape for post sophmore year. Im sure don brown is going to want him for d as well when all is said and done.
