Hello: (football walk on) Michael Jocz

Submitted by kaykaybroke on

I definitely thought this was board worthy. However I recently talked to Michael Jocz, who informed me of his acceptance at Michian, and his plan to walk-on to the football team. He said he's talked to Hoke numerous times about his plans and that he intends to be there for fall camp.

Michigan's truly getting a quality kid here: he has a 4.0 gpa, and a 32 ACT(!). He plays WR/TE for Novi, and at 6'4, 190.. you can make a case for playing both.

He was named ALL KLAA division team by max preps, and i've embedded his highlight video below. Wish him luck!

join the Michigan Football Team as a walk-on.  I like what he shows in that highlight film; however, he's gonna have to hit those weights just as hard or harder than he hits his books if he wants to realize his dream of playing at Michigan.  However, after reading about him, I believe he's got the inner drive to reach his goals, however much effort it takes.

"However" is so easy to both overuse and misuse, isn't it, however?

special teams and who knows may be in 3 or 4 years he may see some playing time with the offense, if he can put on muscle weight.

I wish I was good enough to play on the practice team when I went to U-M!
