Heckuva job, Coach Beilein!

Submitted by artds on
This is what he was hired to do for this program. It says a lot about him that he was able to coach this team to a share of the conference title while being outrecruited every year by Sparty and Ohio. I can't wait to see what he does with the top talent we have coming in next year.

What a season so far! I'm more happy today than I was after our BCS victory. Sadly, I jumped so high when Buford made the shot, I cut my knee open lol, I hope it scars because this is a special season for Michigan! Coach Beilein is a very good coach and an even better person! Now, let's make a run in the NCAA's and really put a cherry on top!

GO BLUE!

Phenomenal coach. Case in point: Watching Smot in the open court the last few games, his improvement is stunning. Smot almost looks smoove out there. While the masses scream, "don't dribble Smot", Beilein says, "you can do this, and here's how".

Coach Beilein gets the most out of his players.  He develops them and makes them better.  Even in the losing seasons, you could see improvement.  He sets a team environment that allows players to develop and expand their abilities without fear of being ripped into sausage.  He's a great teacher, class act and exactly what a Michigan coach is supposed to be.   And I'll say it for the millionth time.  Get him a lifetime contract.  I know this is probably his last stop in coaching, but still he deserves it!

Considering all that the coaches have already accomplished without the explosive and fast twitch athletes most other top teams have says a heck of a lot. They also had to run a smaller then ideal line up for the last few years. The coaches sure have coached the hell out of those young men.

What a difference a year makes. Early last year, I can remember fans calling into WTKA saying that we needed to get a new coach.  Brandon stated that if he got rid of Beilein, he'd have to find another Beilein to replace him; and he gave him his full support.

Last year, of course, ended well and Beilein had all of our support at the end.  Now this year, he coaches his team to a B1G championship.  Congrats, Coach.

What a difference a year makes.  I guess us fans are prone to overreaction.

I was on a business trip to Toronto last season when we were in a tailspin and placed in Least Lansing. My hotel had a lot of stations but nothing covering this game. Had to follow on my computer, drinking room-service-priced beer. I was freaking out during the game and passed out when we won.

That started a run to the NCAA tourneys for us. We've lost just TWO home games since then - Wisky last year on a guy's miracle 3-pt at the buzzer and Purdue this year.

Brandon has been all GOLD STARS with just about everything he's done (minus the prohibition in bringing in bottled water to FB games).

AND...it's only going to get better!
