He's with us!

While some feared that Dakich would get hot and burn Michigan with some baskets, he instead went 0-3 with a turnover in 22! minutes on the floor.

I'm not saying that Dakich was intentionally bad but he certainly played his part in Michigan's win over OSU.

It's truly incredible that a team that plays Andrew Dakich for over half the game is in the top 10.  Holtmann worked some magic this year, because OSU really isn't very talented.

game was not within their reach and he knew it. You can draw out the inevitable like MSU and Wisconsin did, or you can just get it over with. It didn’t really even look to me like he was telling his guys to foul anybody. It wasn’t like the Minnesota game where it was still a 2 possession game. They were down 13 with 2 to go. Thank you, Mr. not-foul-when-you’re-not-winning-the-game Guy, from basketball fans everywhere.

But they were fouling intentionally.

On one possession, Simpson passed it to Matthews (both closely guarded) who passed it to Robinson . . . who was fouled.  If you're going to foul deliberately and allow two 50% guys to pass it to a 90% shooter, and then foul him, that's a coaching error.

is no way that guy fouling Duncan Robinson with like 14 on the shot clock was doing so on coach’s orders. Holtzmann was checking his Facebook and making dinner reservations by that point, game was over. I think I saw him call for one foul when they fouled MAAR. He drained them and it wasn’t happening for OSU at that point.

They also fouled MAAR deliberately down the stretch, so it's not clear to me what exactly they were trying to do.

It's just very odd to me that this late in the season, a Michigan opponent apparently didn't recognize which guys to foul.  You'd think that would be near the top of the gameplan.

And now Michigan and OSU have the same overall records this season: 22-7.  Maybe the oddsmakers and gamblers had OSU figured out before the media did.  I wonder if Michigan will be ranked over OSU?

The media and coaches can't use Big Ten "weakness" as an excuse for criticizing the Big Ten and then give OSU the nod over Michigan for a "better conference record."

Apparently, the answer is racist internet trolls doing an act that would have shamed a blackface-wearing vaudeville comedian in 1879.

It’s someone who is trying real hard to string together a bunch of stupidity, that really doesn’t go together. Real people don’t talk that way, and they damn sure don’t type that way.

Trying to manage the wilds of internet comment boards must generally be a thankless task -- so, thank you, from all of us who'd just like to discuss Michigan athletics without having to put up with the trolls.

Aren't you able to see the IP that users have when they login?  A long time ago I was doing technical help for another message board and it was really easy to ban by IP or at least see multiple users coming in on the same IP.

While not 100% foolproof it did make it easy when users were posting, then logging out, then loggin in again as a different user.

As snakebitten as I feel about OSU in general, and as much as I like Andrew Dakich, between the podcast and his repeatedly giving up his redshirt to help the team... I never really worried much about him scoring a lot of points. :)

99 problems with OSU, but Dakich ain't one.

Eh, as much as I'll defend Dakich from people who legit hate him for suiting up with the cooler poopers, I'm 100% for goofing on him for taking the L today.  Good kid, good podcast and props to him (and tbh the rest of OSU - there should be no debate for B1G coach of the year) for exceeding expectations but I'll never not gloat over OSU losing
