Harbaugh at UD Jesuit today and the kids found a #loophole
NCAA rules states that juniors can't take photos with college coaches. So we got in the back ground @CoachJim4UM pic.twitter.com/nkgHGHqxJO

Is this a rule just to be a rule? Seems stupid.

Just cracked the NCAA's code for creating new rules: "Can we make this a rule? I mean, it would just be a new rule. More rules are always good. It's now a rule."

This is a companion to the NCAA prohibition against being painted shirtless while standing next to medium-length untrimmed shrubbery.

With a subclause that this act is permissable if two of the following conditions are met:
1) It is raining and/or the barometric pressure indicates that rain is inevitable
2) It is a Wednesday on an odd numbered month
3) You are in possession of at least three (3) different varieties of fruit
4) You possess a doctor's note that indicates that you are required to do so due to drug allergies.

I love the MSU fans responding to the tweet from some high school kids who just wanted a picture with Harbaugh and don't play football.
January 14th, 2016 at 11:14 AM ^
And they will use the Walmart Wolverine meme as they are just jealous that Michigan has a far reaching fanbase and they struggle to fill their stadium even when they are having good years. Little brother will always have major butt hurt.
January 14th, 2016 at 11:43 AM ^
How could those kids be Walmart Wolverines when they are still in high school? Or is every single life long Wolverine fan a Walmart Wolverine through primary and secondary schooling?

As I suspected. With that forehead Dantonio is leading the MSU HGH march. His face aches without it. It takes so many muscles to frown. Dude is wore out most days. HGH to the rescue!

Right now, they are working another breaking sports story, but don't worry, they'll get to this outrageous photo soon enough...

They've upgraded their facilities and are pretty much the only Catholic school in the city. A lot of parents, Catholic and non-Catholic, still hold the school in high regard for their sons. With the facilities and good reputation, I could see them becoming a powerhouse in the city, or at least a viable option for those who can afford the tuition.

What if Harbaugh is at the HS on the junior's last day of school and the photo is taken at 3:00:59 and the school day ends at 3:01?

I am hoping for a Harbaugh sighting while he is here. It's not that big of a town.
January 14th, 2016 at 10:58 AM ^
So wait .. If you're a junior in high school you are not allowed to take a picture with an NCAA football coach? What if you are a friend of a cousin and you're at a family reunion, you don't play football, but you're in a picture with said coach .. That's a violation?

There are exceptions for things like that where you have a preexisting relationship. Like Wheatley was allowed to go home during a recruiting dead period and have dinner with his son when he was recruiting him to Michigan.
January 14th, 2016 at 11:45 AM ^
But what about the family pictures? Dinner is a separate issue.

No, only applies to JUNIOR PROSPECTIVE ATHLETES.
January 14th, 2016 at 11:03 AM ^
The kids don't even play football so they are not JUNIOR PROSPECTIVE ATHLETES (in the same sport). LOL. The Sparty that is fuming is a troll. If you look at his TL, he says that Willie Henry is throwing shade at Harbaugh just like Hackenberg did to Franklin because he did not identify Harbaugh by name. LOL. Except that he did thank the excellent coaching staff for which he had his best year!
January 14th, 2016 at 11:19 AM ^
How can you tell he's a troll and not just a regular MSU fan?
January 15th, 2016 at 6:58 AM ^

There were at least 10-15 articles written about it. I mean it was pretty obvious Harbaugh was just joking with Nordin, but it was widely reported as a thing that was happening. Just silliness.

January 14th, 2016 at 11:59 AM ^
Wait, people thought that was serious? Even if someone thought, against all reason, that it might be, wouldn't they verify before writing an article or discussing it on the radio? I truly don't understand.

Was it really a joke? (I hope it was)
I was without Sirius radio yesterday and listened (briefly) to both 97.1 and 105.1. It was intolerable. Didn't know that the separated-at-birth twins, Drew Sharp and Terry Foster are on the air, at the same time, on different stations. Combine that with Valenti and it's insane how much Michigan hate goes on.
Both stations were fuming about how awful this was, how it crossed the line, how the parents are terrible, how Dantonio would use this against Harbaugh, etc. To me, the notion was creepy but that was about it. Glad to hear it was (hopefully) a joke, but happier if that joke was on Sharp, Foster and Valenti.

would literally sleep overnight on the floor in a recruit's bedroom is beyond stupid. Of course it was in jest. Even the dumbasses on WBBL this morning appear to have swallowed the joke as literal. Dumbassery abounds SMH
January 14th, 2016 at 12:39 PM ^
Just got an ESPN update saying that "Harbaugh is planning to do the sleepover" quoting a story from Scout.com.....this is hysterical!!!! It literally reads:
Michigan: Jim Harbaugh spent night at recruit Quinn Nordin's house, attending his classes on Thursday.
Then it says in the article that "it may or may not have happened" the four letter is such a joke!
January 14th, 2016 at 12:22 PM ^
His investigation and exposing the story prevented it from happening.
January 14th, 2016 at 11:34 AM ^
