It is great that Harbaugh seems to be happy with the progress of the QBs. That is one big piece of the puzzle, and good to great QB play could get us to the playoffs. Now, if he also says that OL progress is great, and we have 8 or 9 guys who can step in on the line, we are in business, big time. I think that'll be much less likely though.

Very different look

They eliminated all white labeling from the Michigan helmet it seems (no more white chin straps, no more white riddell or air neck border rim.

Here are my hot Takes:

1. O'Korn and Speight are dead even by the end of camp and O'Korn gets the nod due to his running ability and ends up throwing for 4500 yards and 45 TDs no ints!

2. Ty Issac over takes the starting running back position and runs for 2500 yds and 25 TDs

3. Taco Charlton eats a taco on the sideline after every sack...he enjoys 25 tacos this year!

4. Chris Evans starts returning punts and kick offs and ends up with 10TDs on special teams alone!

5. Jake Butt scores 10 receiving TDs and 3 rushing TDs this year!

FIN....

Agreed @Indonacious - really only said they is a competition and they are better than they were at this point last year......which is not much of a hurdle. How could they possibly be worse than their first 8 days in a brand new offense and for most of them a brand new program? They've had a full year + of learning and practice with this system. I would HOPE they'd be better than last year.

I feel like the "submarine" is overrated. Harbaugh is pretty tight-lipped, but there's a different feeling than I got from Hoke stammering through stuff. Less info from coordinators, I guess, but we still get good details.

There were, what, at least three public practices in the spring? And didn't we get a public practice in camp last season? Seems reasonable to assume it will happen again. Maybe guys more plugged in than I can refute this (and I would welcome better info) but it seems like there is still plenty of information available for those who want it.

We are looking at a 1A vs 1B situation right now. I think we will be happy either way. Speight has blossomed under JH & Jedd Fisch. I think O'Korn gets the nod though. He has the game experience and can make a difference with his feet.

likes to chew tobacco during practice.  I have noticed this before seems to be a regular thing.  Surprised he still does that in this day and age.

Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that. But seriously, I do hope Cole is doing ok with the snapping; I feel like snapping problems have hampered a few guys they expirimented moving to center since around the RR days, and it's never a given for guys that had been playing other positions (didn't Glasgow even have some snapping issues, at least early on?)...
