Don't you lie to me. I can't take any more lies!

I'll take couple more of those videos please!

Good to see him get a mention by Harbaugh and to a couple of his throws!

Totally agree. So far as I've seen, he's done everything asked of him without question. A Michigan man. If he's not the starter, let's create some serious garbage time this year to get him some fun snaps.

However, I wouldn't bet on Shane starting....

Well that ball from Speight to Smith was pretty...
And I see some Kugler w/ first team reps at LG.

Too much.
(Not intended as snark. My natural reaction to such comments is usually an irrational overreation!).

I thought he said "Shane is having a good camp, Speight is having an outstanding camp, John O'Korn is having a very good camp." So that means that this is the current rank: #1 - Speight; #2 - O'Korn and #3 - Morris. /s

Taking anything I can get out of the submarine right now. Love the uniforms in action.

No...check the media days photos.

Very different look
They eliminated all white labeling from the Michigan helmet it seems (no more white chin straps, no more white riddell or air neck border rim.

Here are my hot Takes:
1. O'Korn and Speight are dead even by the end of camp and O'Korn gets the nod due to his running ability and ends up throwing for 4500 yards and 45 TDs no ints!
2. Ty Issac over takes the starting running back position and runs for 2500 yds and 25 TDs
3. Taco Charlton eats a taco on the sideline after every sack...he enjoys 25 tacos this year!
4. Chris Evans starts returning punts and kick offs and ends up with 10TDs on special teams alone!
5. Jake Butt scores 10 receiving TDs and 3 rushing TDs this year!
FIN....

I don't think greasy food is allowed on the sidelines
August 16th, 2016 at 11:47 AM ^
Lots of protein; no grease.
Harbaugh thinks of everything.

I'll have what he's having.

Jake Butt scores 10 receiving TDs and 3 rushing TDs this year!
And he scores a pick-6 interception TD. :-)

Agreed @Indonacious - really only said they is a competition and they are better than they were at this point last year......which is not much of a hurdle. How could they possibly be worse than their first 8 days in a brand new offense and for most of them a brand new program? They've had a full year + of learning and practice with this system. I would HOPE they'd be better than last year.
August 16th, 2016 at 12:34 PM ^
It felt pretty positive to me. As he said, he doesn't like to compare, but he did and said it was better this year. That is a good thing to hear.

I feel like the "submarine" is overrated. Harbaugh is pretty tight-lipped, but there's a different feeling than I got from Hoke stammering through stuff. Less info from coordinators, I guess, but we still get good details.
There were, what, at least three public practices in the spring? And didn't we get a public practice in camp last season? Seems reasonable to assume it will happen again. Maybe guys more plugged in than I can refute this (and I would welcome better info) but it seems like there is still plenty of information available for those who want it.

Less worried about Hawaii too as opposed to Utah, he probably feels a bit more comfortable opening up about things.
August 16th, 2016 at 11:15 AM ^
We are looking at a 1A vs 1B situation right now. I think we will be happy either way. Speight has blossomed under JH & Jedd Fisch. I think O'Korn gets the nod though. He has the game experience and can make a difference with his feet.
August 16th, 2016 at 4:42 PM ^
This is different than what you posted previously on MGoBlog and recently on 24/7Sports.
I'm feeling confident about picking Speight to win the job...

likes to chew tobacco during practice. I have noticed this before seems to be a regular thing. Surprised he still does that in this day and age.

Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that. But seriously, I do hope Cole is doing ok with the snapping; I feel like snapping problems have hampered a few guys they expirimented moving to center since around the RR days, and it's never a given for guys that had been playing other positions (didn't Glasgow even have some snapping issues, at least early on?)...
August 16th, 2016 at 2:20 PM ^
Yes, G. Glasgow had issues with snaps early in his career, which is why Miller started at center. Even though Miller kept getting pushed into the backfield by big noseguards.

I know it's just practice gear, but new font on the jersey names? Or are the letters just slightly smaller?
