Taking a shot at a coach whose only recourse is to have a low-brow insult battle through the media or Twitter is one thing.  That will die quickly.

Jim Rome has 3 or 4 hours to kill every day during the deadest period in the sports calendar.  My guess is this doesn't go away as quietly as previous incidents.

Rome's problem is that he's a shock jock who is just looking for clicks. His "opinion" is just a way to get more views to justify his existence.

It's buzzfeed/ bleacher/ that site that is not to be named here.

I think Harbaugh would have been better off ignoring the troll, but I love his reply.

Rome's job is to create controversy, like it or not. But his ratings are so bad now that he'll say anything to create a stir.

It's silly to get worked up over what he said.

Harbaugh's tweet was gold and puts into context what Rome is and that is a failing sports talk radio host.

The guy has been doing talk radio for over 20 years and is one of the biggest names in the industry.  If he's a failing talk show host show me a successful one.

Showtime canceled his show and his ratings have plummeted over the years. He is still on the air but is no where the success he once was long ago. So yeah, really.

When your market share continues to shrink, you are failing. At least that is how it is looked in the radio business.  The sad thing is Harbaugh is giving unecessary exposure to someone who is irrelevant and not worthy of mentioning at all. If that vid of Chris..er I mean Jim...didn't exist, I would have been disappointed that Jim responded to Chris....er I mean Jim....Rome.

No Ziff, you're just gonna fail in the usual way... Rome Sucks, has for years now, his shtick is played out, his callers (clones) get lamer by the year, and you cannot deny he took this gratuitous shot at JH simply to get himself some publicity, no matter how much you may still like him.

Have seen many other coaches really lose it on interviews.  Saban comes immediately to mind.  There was no rant, Harbaugh actually was kind enough to explain why he was not answering any more questions regarding suspension, then says thank you and walks away.  If he wasn't who he is nobody would have made a big deal out of it.

His job is to win period. The reporters can eat their free food and I don't care if JH makes their jobs difficult or not. Just win baby. And he surely will. The administration doesn't care about his media cooperation either. He'll be in AA aslong as he runs a clean successful program. I suspect he will do so and eventually challenge Bo's records as well if he stays healthy long enough. GO BLUE!!!
