Harbaugh on grave walk

Harbaugh smashing a buckeye on the grave walk...I love this guy

I'm sitting here watching this Harbaugh press conference and I realize how f**d up I am. I'm quickly reminded how depressed I am when I eat ice cream. From the first bite, all I can think of is the fact that this ice cream will be gone soon and what I'm not enjoying will soon be gone.

I can't help but feel the same way watching Harbaugh in dazzle me in the maize and blue... That somehow... For ever long this may be, it is... Our time with him... Is fleeting. And soon. He'll be gone.

unrelated to any of this, but it was warm and weirdly satisfying.

I have such a hard-on for our current situation. Jimmy's our guy. He gets it (he brought his freakin' dad for shit's sakes), he has brought this team SO far - we (with some help from  Penn State) are on the doorstep of a potential conference championship, it's The Game Week, and he's out on gravewalk tonight.

Rediculous.  Redonkulous.

Seriously, think back to the ultimate frisbee practice, the flute playing.  There isn't a single person on this planet who can lead our team like James Joseph Harbaugh.

I'd run through the proverbial wall for him, and I'm 50 and a shadow of my former self.

I was just trying to explain this event to my 16 year old daughter and the magnitude of Harbaugh and HIS DAD partaking. I got choked up and got one of those looks only a 16 year old daughter can give you. It's so sad she'll never understand.

I've been bringing my daughter to a game or two every year since she was five.  She is a high school senior this year.

In the beginning, she was there just for the kettle corn.  After a while, the band and pagentry were part of the deal too.  She eventually got to the point where she would stay for the whole game.

But, this year...for Michigan State...she went all out. Painted her fingernails maize and blue, serious gear, bandanna, faux-tattoos, the works. That weekend, she decided that that communal environment was an important part of the college experience she was looking for. She might end up at Michigan, or might not, but she will be connected to her school.

It can take a while, but it happens.

Is this for fucking real? Where the hell did you find this? Is there a link to a story or something. Holy fucking lord this guy is, it's not even worth trying to put into words what this guy is.

Too cool. Even though he's been here only one year, I could see him becoming legend in years to come: "Jim Harbaugh's first UM Quarterback." Maybe even become quarterbacks coach himself one day. After an illustrious career in medicine, of course.

Harbaugh plays down talking anything about OSU in the pressers and how he feels, what he remembers, etc. but you know deep within his soul is a burning desire to destroy that team and see its charred remains littered before him.

I don't even care what happens on Saturday. We have Harbaugh and the program is back and will be better than it's ever been in the years to come. Great season already with more to come. Now beat Ohio.

With links to Angelique.  He has done lots of quirky/funny/football coachy things, but this is so obviously from the heart it made me cry.  There, I said it.  LSA '86

That looks like the same jacket he tore off in disgust last weekend. Or maybe he buys them in bunches at Walmart with his khakis?

That he came out for this without a bunch of fanfare is just awesome. Wish I could have been there.
