Harbaugh to give commencement address at Paramus

Your move Sankey
(For what it's worth, Tom VH says that it has been in the works for a while)
This is hilarious. I love Harbaugh.
I love this! I love Harbaugh.
I love him more every day.
In 3...2...1...
I just don't understand how he keeps thinking of all this stuff, he's the man!!

He was probably asked and accepted.
Should be better than the "Kurt Vonnegut" commencement address.
He'll probably be accompanied by Partridge, Jabrill, and Gary. Just further evidence that our head coach is STILL working harder than yours.
And smarter!!!
is IN the graduating class.
Go Blue!
Maybe i wouldn't be a failure looking for validation from strangers on the internet via upvotes.
Probably still would but I might have had a chance.
I think you are giving someone in your past a disproportionate amount of blame.
The fact that this has been in the works for a while just confirms how ahead of the game he is right now. I'm gasping for air between fits of laughter.
That said, this should be interesting/potentially awkward...Harbaugh's not really the best public speaker, he's just the best college football coach.
I'm not sure the non-football people will understand his humor.
I truly don't even remember who gave the commencement address at my graduation, let alone the message.
I'd rather have listened to Harbaugh be weird.
at my HS. It was the principal, valedictorian, and maybe a teacher.
politician-types give the commencement speech previously. I've never heard of a High School graduation where it wasn't simply the principal/valedictorian/salutorian speaking (guest speakers are more a college commencement thing), but Paramus obviously has done this before.
One other weird thing from the article: the commencement is at the Prudential Center?!?! 415 kids in the graduating class, even if each kid had 25 people in his group, they'd still only ~55% fill the place.
At Davison High School, we voted on a teacher to give our commencement speech. It was always the same couple of teachers every year voted in by the graduating class.
With staggered times.............
I know Macomb/Oakland County schools have done graduation at the Palace, rolling graduations throughout a Saturday.
Paramus graduation looks to be 6:30-9 PM on a Thursday night. Other schools could be before/after, although none of those times would be ideal (being a Thursday).
I wonder if media folk (e.g., ESPN) will show up to cover this.
here.
I am a teacher. To toot my own horn, I have been voted to give 4 commencement speeches in my 9 years.
as we were too poor. I think maybe the principal droned on for a few minutes. He had to the there anyway.
When I graduated HS it was all the valedictorians. We had 13 of them somehow. I know for college we had, no bs, Dave Brandon.

I think most classes just have one from the valedictorian.

Oh crap. Yeah, good call by all. I was thinking of college. My H.S. speaker was the valedictorian.
For sure then, I'll take Harbaugh.
And any other powerhouse HS that will let him.
Bingo

or any other school in the south where he wanted to do satellite camps.
Energizer is going to sign him up to run around with a drum replacing that pink bunny. What an amazing character.
Lolz...that's great
Harbaugh ABSOLUTELY should launch a series of 8th grade satilitte camps aroudn the country.
And not just because of the SEC stuff. Harbaugh (and his brother) are leading the "War On Football" charge. I have my personal thoughts about it, but why not go out and teach kids how to tackle properly and speak to parents about the recent safety innovations in the game.
Wrap that concept around an elite middle school football camp. Guarantee it would be worth it.
"An elite middle school football camp"? Really?
First item on next month's rules committee agenda: commencement addresses.
Paramus got any trees he can climb?
Next rule: Coaches not allowed to climb trees outside of a 50 mile radius of campus.
Fortunately the SEC won't take offense to the graduation ceremony strategy since most of their recruits don't participate.
Dude is legend.
This is precisely why I didn't care about the satellite ban (as it related to Michigan). Harbaugh's not going to stop. Harbaugh doesn't know how to stop.
If Hugh Freeze wants to sit on his boat for the entire month of June, one way or another, he and like-minded programs are going to fall behind.
I have to disagree. Freeze sitting on his boat for the entire month of June won't cause his program to fall behind. Their bagmen will still be hard at work...
ask not what the NCAA can do for you...
This is the best thing ever. I'm bored at work...think I'll go observe on RCMB and others... Harbaugh!
That's funny, I just recently found out about RCMB. I was actually a bit surprised at how that fan base is actually MORE delusional and obsessed than I had originally thought.
OP should clarify it's at Paramus Catholic and not at Paramus (which is the local public high school).
I just hope he pronounces it Par-am-us instead of Para-mus
I met someone from New Jersey last year who taught me how to correctly pronounce Paramus. I appreciated it because I reckon we'll be pulling a good number of their finest athletes for the foreseeable future.
"Ban it" - the SEC
Would be so SEC to ban High School graduations. Hugh Freeze said he is kind of lazy and never graduated from his high school.
Harbaugh for President!
