Harbaugh gets a Michigan driver's license (news?)

Submitted by PeterKlima on

Since the Minic post revealed that many people here think the bar for threads is:

1. A new fact;

2. Relevant to Michigan football or about someone in the program; and

3. Of little to no importance,

I think we should have a thread about Harbuagh getting  Michigan Driver's license, voter and organ donor.

Just thought I would share.  I sure hope these lower standards don't end up in too many threads.

How proud he seems about something so simple as switching from one states license to another. I love this guy, his enthusiasm about even the littlest things is epic,

Means that he plans to stay awhile.  Sorry, Oakland and 24 other NFL franchises.  You can continue recycling the Andy Reids and Rex Ryans.  Leave our prodigal son the fuck alone.

When you move you're supposed to switch driver's licenses. For a non-celebrity you may not be caught but for Harbaugh he'd definitely have to switch. Still much better thread than the countless apparel ones.

Didn't think it was worth a thread, but my son and I were in line behind him (way behind him - they were swamped today). Considering he was at the Secretary of State's office, which is miserable on a good day, he was smiling and waving to everyone who made eye contact, and when he left he waved to the whole room. Silly, I know, and I wasn't going to make a thread about it, but it was cool to see him and he's obviously happy to be here. It was nice to see that most people there were content to smile and nod, and not bug him too much for autographs and handshakes. That has to get old.

I need to get on the ball.  I still have my Michigan license & I've been in NY for almost 2 years!

You're full of shit Klima! The Minick post is 100% legit as a topic. I won't even go into all the reasons why the new bits of info are totally relevant or are likely to be relevant down the road. You must be pretty stupid not to be able to figure it out on your own.

Your entire thread is raging at me, Pot.

You're a homer bereft of integrity if you think the police report & the additional info in it isn't news in light of the previous news & discussion on his case, also in light of a current key player having his career here on the line under similar circumstances and the obvious fact that there will inevitably be other incidents that this will be compared to. Judgments are going to be made about how things should be handled and how they've been handled in the past, what is right and wrong etc.

As long as off field events, discipline and the responsibilities of coaches, administrators and officials in these matters are going to be reported on and discussed then it needs to be part of the context. That is logically and factually irrefutable regardless of your opinion and your ridiculous interpretation that this is somehow negative toward the program, piling on, bashing, or should be silenced or covered up.

He went to the worst secretary of state possible in this area. I have never seen that place not packed full. I always go out to the one in Chelsea. A little extra time driving but literally no wait. Ever. Well worth it.

Funny how PeterKlima makes this post to supposedly make a statement about how it's not worthy of a thread and then it gets a bunch of comments. Note to the OP: If you wanna make a thread you think isn't worthy, don't make it about Harbaugh.
