Classes at ND and LSU start tomorrow. He has to decide now.

Classes starting and the period to enroll are quite different.

...would prefer that Gunner made a decision. You have about two weeks, Gunner, to decide for or against the human mood ring, in that case. If you go to ND, remember that QB is a temp (potentially dangerous, depending on BK's mood) position there but Kelly (NTK) Services can send your resume to other Division I teams.

Alex Legion and Jerimy Finch called.
They want Gunner to stop using their move.

He needs to shut it down. Screw going EE. He needs time to think this through. Heavy talk he was on ND campus today.

Just read through the tweets, LSU apparently still believes he ends up there, and a lot of flip flopping about ND. I think he stays in the cushy situation at LSU.

Commiting to ND makes complete sense to me.
Except there's a few more weeks left in recruiting.
I would be surprised if ND manages to keep this one.

Idk about you guys but if i was a highly rated recruit i would let the coaches know i intend on attending that university. But i would take advantage of all the SEC benefits. Who would turn down a free trip with girls waiting for you in your hotel room.

1. Go to LSU. Become a bad quarterback on a good team
2. Go to ND. Become a good quarterback on a bad team

I never considered Powlus, Quinn, Clausen, or Crist to be good quarterbacks
January 16th, 2012 at 8:46 PM ^
Quinn & Clawson were both decent

sure looks like he works out..... Has Gunner submitted his Speedo picture yet?
January 16th, 2012 at 9:14 PM ^
but Clausen and Quinn were fairly productive in college. I don't know anything about Powlus and Crist is clearly a bust. ND still has a better track record with QB's than LSU does
January 17th, 2012 at 9:47 AM ^
No, but they all looked like they had the potential to be great QBs, it's like another trial of Job for devout ND fans.
January 16th, 2012 at 9:02 PM ^
ND QBs always have a glitch. They are like 97% good, 3% glitch... and that 3% ruins them. Clausen always ran backwards and either tripped over his own feet or intentionally grounded it. Rees has the fumbles and redzone picks. Quinn crumbled in big games. etc etc etc ... They all throw a good ball though, lol.

If these reports are true, then Kiel is showing himself to be a bit of a flake.
Any coach willing to take on a flake doesn't care about the person ... he just cares about what can be extracted from him.
I wonder if Hoke would take him even if he expressed an interest in Michigan?

It's amazing some of the spins this board comes up with.

Thinking the same thing.

Breaking: Jermiy Finch to Florida.
January 16th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
A bunch of people at ND claim to have seen Kiel on campus. Probably the most "credible" source is Scout recruiting analyst Dave Berk, who claims a "very good source" told him Kiel to ND will happen.
ND also might be getting the Armstead brothers. This could be a magical week for the Irish.
January 16th, 2012 at 11:22 PM ^
That'll cancel out the kick-in-the-balls week they just had.
January 16th, 2012 at 11:39 PM ^
USA Today is reporting it as fact. No reliable sources other than an LSU recruiting analyst, so it's not 100% confirmed.
January 17th, 2012 at 12:32 AM ^
Just wait until both Armsteads are on campus.
