44 carries, 161 yards against #10 Penn State with Mallett starting in place of an injured Chad Henne in 2007. It wasn't as big of a win as some of the others, nor did Hart rush for as many yards, but he put the team on his back in a time of crisis (1-2 start, the Horror, etc)

Why? Because Michigan's Bo-era record in Rose Bowls up to that point had been abysmal, and Wheatley pretty much won the game for Michigan. Biakabatuka might have had a better performance yardage-wise, and the OSU game is certaily important, but Michigan was beating Coooper like a drum while the Rose Bowl was pretty much doing the same to Michigan. Besides, Biakabatuka got a lot more help on his runs than Wheatley did. Wheatley broke off some big runs that were pretty much all him. The tiebreaker? Wheatley played all four years of eligibility that he had, and returned to school after the NFL to obtain his degree. I am partial to loyalty.

Gordon Bell 28 carries for 210 yards in the opener in 75 against Wisconsin, taking the pressure off Ricky Leach in his debut. Jon Vaughn first 2 games of 1990 201 yards on 22 carries vs Notre Dame 288 yards on 32 carries vs UCLA with 3 TD's Vaughn was relatively unknown going into the season (at least to me)

I love Mike Hart, and I will never forget Chris Perry vs. MSU, absolutely epic. My dad and I were able to witness in person the destruction of the Buckeyes with their beloved Heisman winner Eddie George. It was something I will never forget.

It was against our #1 rival in one of their best years. And he ran like a man possessed against 9 and 10 in the box. He carried Shawn Springs on his back for 10+ yards on one play. Unbelievable.
