...he would have done better to stick around another year. Of course, I get the risk of injury concerns and all of that, but one more year in the winged helmet would have greatly helped his draft stock, I believe. I think he may regret the decision in a few short years. The college game is magical. Pro football is too often a dispassionate business.

I have a different perspective.

Willie has one thing to sell and that is his physical skills.  If he is good enough to do well in the NFL, i.e.be a  reasonably high draft pick, why put your body through the abuse of another year in college.  Assuming he doesn't graduate this year, he can always come back and get his degree.  No one can defeat father time, but If you only have so many years to play, I'd rather spend one more year in the NFL and receive the financial rewards that go with it.

One of Hoke's last minute signings leaves early and has a great shot at being drafted high. Good for Willie after putting in hard work! At least our streak of drafted players will continue!

oof. Hope he realizes we may win the title next year, and barring injury his stock can only improve.

Loved Henry, great player, great Wolverine.

I'm so glad he got to play at least one year for Harbaugh and staff, what a fun year and Willie was a big part of that.

I hope he tears it up and has a great career and I want to hear more players saying University of Michigan when NBC does their SNF Games!

Well that wont help our case for having the best d line next year at all. I guess it leaves room for other lineman to step up and have a big role in the d line (hopefully gary)

Surprising.  The guy is giving up the opportunity to be on one of the all-time great Michigan lines, not to mention raise his draft stock above the 3rd round.  Seems like a poor choice, but what do I know.
