Good news coming this week for Michigan Football.

I know on a quiet Saturday night there is nothing better than speculation if you are stuck inside.

Allan Trieu of scout just tweeted this message:

Good news coming this week for #Michigan

I know Thompson and Godin are next week, what are you best guesses?

To continue the tradition of taking two players at the same position around the same time, Zeke is decommiting from Auburn to commit play LB (he also plays LB in high school) at Michigan.

Oh yea, and there will be flying pigs.

Im not going to worr about it then because I know in the next couple weeks we should be getting a couple solid recruits. If so, I like the way Hoke and Co. have been recruiting so far.

But then again...the curiousity if getting to me!

With so many Ohio DEs expressing interest in Michigan lately, I'm guessing that one of them decided it was time to get on board.

I'm starting to wonder if Michigan is going to have a numbers problem with this class.  It's a good problem to have, I grant.

EDIT:  Another possibility: We're getting a pony!

I don't like all this "I know something and can't tell you" stuff, but you guys are going to ask. The first one this week will be very public. I'm not going to say anything else.

Formalities:

Long time reader first time poster. Really enjoy the information and commentary.

As far as who the Good News could be, first who its not. Godin and Thompson will be nice additions but not next week as they have both already setteled on a later date to announce. While Pharoh Brown would be a nice addition he does not quite warrant the "Best in the Midwest" comment that Trieu suggested. Gunner would be amazing, but he really didnt let on like he was ready to commit, especially for a kid with his talent that hasnt taken too many visits as of yet. Gunner wont be for a while.  Diamond could be in my estimation a silent commit type as he has eluded to the fact that his late decision time table and plethora of visits to the South is more for his high school teammates to gain exposure. This finally comes down to Ross, Wormley, or Day. Hopefully all three will eventually be in the class but my guess would be Day.

Is it positive that "Good News" is a commit? Possibly a confirmed visit from say . . . Dunn??

HOWEVA for the guy CBarnett was talking about...he mentioned Kentucky, big time, and that it wasnt Goldin. Sounds like Zeke but I just cant picture him flipping so quickly.

If I understand right one should be sometime mid week of this week and the other should be in about 2 weeks?

Wormley, Diamond, Ross, Kiel...

Can't believe it would be Pike...I mean, he just committed!  But Kentucky...is there anyone else we are recruiting from there?

Well, this at least makes this weeks anticipation level skyrocket...always fun!

But Pike just committed. If he flipped I can't see it being this soon. Did't he also want eraly playing time? If DG gets a redshirt for last year Pike probably wouldn't start until 2015. The only way he could start sooner is if DG gets injured or Pike beats him out.

Those Auburn paying player jokes get old pretty quick and I dont even like Auburn.

When Zeke Pike committed to Auburn everyone was quick to jump on him like "Auburn must be paying you good money" and I all I could think of besides classless was good luck trying to get him to switch commitments.

Kiehl Frazier is arguably higher regarded than DG, and is one year younger.  Frazier is going to the same spread offense he was recruited for at Auburn. Meanwhile, Michigan is switching offensive philosophy away from a spread offense - the only thing DG has ever played.  Neither KF nor DG have played yet. DG has 3 or 4 years left. KF has 4 or 5.

I'd say, given the facts of the situation, Michigan is a better opportunity for early playing time for a 2012 recruit than Auburn...but we'll know a lot more in a year.
