Gatorobait.net: take on the game
I did my undergrad at Michigan and my doctorate at UF; no divided loyalties--I'm an Ann Arbor kid from a family where every single member went to UM and wouldn't root for UF in tiddlywinks. But they do send me a lot of emails about their football squad. Their 247 people look like they were impressed with what they saw. Enjoy:

That's a quick reaction on the hot takes! But I do like seeing that Bush, Hudson, and Nordin were called out on thier own...
A lot of 247 pages seem to do that. There was an article of Michigan players' tweets criticizing the Bleacher Report video that says Peppers is overrated. You were literally supposed to click on a new page for every single tweet, which of course were each just a couple words or a sentence, so I gave up on that.
Speight sucks.......
Florida is going to be in a tricky spot offensively against us. Their receivers are very good and their starting RB Scarlett is too. However, they will be starting a new QB and our DL should beat their OL consistently. Obviously, if you're UF you would hope the inverse to be true. I don't think they will be able to get much going on us. We should be able to shut down the run and pressure Franks into mistakes.
On D they will be very young. They will have talent on the DL, but not like ours. Their back seven should be exploitable. If we can protect enough to throw and get create a few lanes for Evan and Higdon, our offense will be able to do enough to win.
Definitely. If you set the O/U at 29.5 I might take the under.
That score has been my exact prediction for a little while now haha nice job. The other ginormous edge we have is coaching. There's not a coach on our staff that I would trade for the coach in the same position on theirs. McElwain, Nuss, and Shannon are all inferior to our HC and Coordinators. Harbaugh is a Jedi Master compared to McElwain. Even if the talent on the field were close I would take us 10 times out of 10 because of our coaching.
First you say you might take the under at 29.5, the you say 27-13 has "been (your) exact prediction for a little while now (haha nice job)"? You, sir, DrMantisToboggan, are a dirty, rotten, stinking liar! ;-)
Might take the under. I could see the game going the way of a defensive battle. However, I think Jimmy's creativity on offense allows us to move from a 17-13 game to a 27-13 game and a more comfortable win.

45-10! Florida scores first, only 3 points after that. Peters throws 2tds in the second half.
It could happen!
...especially as we add more spread-oriented inside zone run plays.
Higdon hits the hole so fast, at least from what I noticed today. We already know Evans does too, if we can just create a semblance of a running lane I think both of them will do well against UF. Drop a couple bombs over the top to Crawford, DPJ, Black, McDoom, maybe even Nico - we have so damn many downfield threats now, not even mentioning the TE's - and I think we pull away late.

That is exactly the Gator way. Living here and being surrounded by Gator fans, they are the fairest-weather of fans I have ever come across. When adversity creeps in, they turtle. It is for this reason that I cannot stand the Gators and love beating their ass in Football and Basketball every chance we get.
This team will toil in medicority as long as McElwain is there. He is an ok coach but not what this program needs to be great again. I fully expect that we will kick their ass up and down the field just like we always do.

I think there's a strongly possibility we win it handily. A lot more speed all over the field for us, and quite a bit of confidence on display yesterday.
I was glad to see a linked article that their starting center should be okay. He was creamed by a hit and run driver while on his scooter the other night, but he said he's just got some scrapes and bruises but is otherwise good to go.
If one of their biggest problems was picking up LB blitzes, good luck against Brown and this DL. M should run a lot of zone and just wait for the new QB to throw it to the defense when under pressure.
Thanks for the .net slideshow.
Sounds like a porn site.
Gatorbait.net DOES give scholarships, but only to extremely hot young ladies under 16 (hence the "bait" part)...

That is their big slogan: "If you ain't a gator you're gatorbait" - so fucking annoying the Gators are.
I think Florida is going to be better than most people expect...especially with Zaire.
I think Michigan is going to squeak by in a "lucky" win, one we all take but admit...we easily could've, maybe even should've lost. Like the Sugar Bowl win against VT (or OSU last year against, sigh, us).
I say it'll be one of those games UF is kicking themselves over late in the year like USC's (and Oklahoma's) early losses last year.
I'm going to say Harbarugh and co. pull off a close win with a last second Nordin FG.
20-17 Michigan...we all hug and recover from our near heart attacks with A LOT of beer. I mean, A LOT.
I believe theres currently a rule in place preventing Zaire from transferring to any SEC school (ironic I know). I do agree though, he would give them a whole new outlook.

We limped into that game. FSU was riding high going in. One team had momentum. The other didn't. Makes a lot of sense why they won.
Sensible
Thanks for sharing. Michigan is more talented albeit perhaps less experienced and I'd be willing to bet we have the speed and size advantage as well. The first game is always a bit of a mystery but I think we have a great shot of not only winning but winning big.
Meta OT -- These slide show stories on websites with heavy amounts of ads just kill my computer. My hard drive runs non-stop and I usually end up having to kill the browser. Anyone know how to avoid this, ya know like, besides not clicking on the article?
