Game Day Question - Where To Park?

Submitted by gater on

My family has been going to games for over 20 years now and we're looking for a new place to park.  We used to park on the golf course, but the older my dad gets, the more impatient he gets with waiting in lines to leave.  For the past few years, we've been parking at in the maize/brown lot (tennis/gymnastics center) since there was a trolley that would drop us off at the golf course club house.  We found out yesterday that the trolley isn't running this year so it's one hell of a walk.  We'd like some suggestions for parking.

Requirements:

Not on the Golf Course

On State St.

Must have bathrooms/Porta Johns

for $20. Includes bathrooms!

Just kidding, we live on Washtenaw. But this is likely one of the best ways (parking at a student house for around 20 and sometimes less) if you don't want to park on the golf course. Otherwise if you come early enough there are various lots you can park in that are run by the U.

Well I don't know how far he wants to walk but we park by west quad in the Thompson lot and there are bathrooms right there in the Union. But I do get in it for free with my blue sticker - it's $15 otherwise.

Did anyone else read that title and think, "I wonder if this guy knows that he is late to the show?  Game day was Saturday."

Although, for me this was promptly followed by:

- Shit, am I still drunk?  -> No

- What day is it? -> Sunday

- *Fist pump*, I was right after all.

If you're wedded to being on State street then that removes a lot of options, if you're willing to go just a little bit away from there then there's some good parking with restrooms for not too much money.

We park on Industrial at the Army spot. It is a bit of a walk, but it is $10 and you can pull right out with little traffic.
