Gallon lifts with the O-line and not the receivers?

I saw this on rivals http://michigan.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1591229 (I don't think it is paywall) where Hecklinski said Gallon weight trains with the offensive lineman. Is that a true comment in proper context or was it hyperbole as a reference to his physical play? If so, I am not sure how much more of a bad ass Gallon could be. Let's see, he has super strength, cloaking and can leap small DBs in a single bound. The guy needs a comic book.

Yes he does. When I visited with Hand, Wellman talked about it. Not because of upper body though. His legs are powerful and it takes too long to change the plates for his reps when he lifts with the wrs. So he lifts with the OL

I don't know why this would surprise so many people, to be honest. We all know that he has amazingly strong lower body strength. We've seen it plenty of times on the field. As for the amount of weight he squats, the weight (450 range) is perfectly in line with what (relatively) elite level hockey players of the same height squat.

Barry used to lift with the O-Line as well.  Rumor was he could squat over 500 lbs.  Being shorter does make lifting easier, but that doesn't discount Barry (or Gallon's) tremendous strength.

Gallon is a beast.  I think he's a fifth-round pick, and a guy that could make a team because he'll do whatever he has to in order to get on the field.

He needs to run in the 4.6 range though, or he'll drop.
