Furman's decision postponed - weather

Submitted by JC3 on
Josh Furman's announcement has been delayed, but not because he's changed his mind. For those of you who haven't seen, the Crab Bowl has been postponed to Monday due to weather. Link

I'm not prepared for the end-is nigh/RR doesn't understand he's not in the Big East anymore hand-wringing that would inevitably ensue if Furman went elsewhere.

cancelled down here due to a few inches of snow. Football games are rescheduled rather than be played in heavy rain. Now I know why the South lost the Civil War.

For those who live in Michigan, this might be amusing, but in the Baltimore/Washington area, snow is really a four-letter word. The latest predictions are potentially a foot or more. That would probably mean more snow over the weekend than we've had over the last three years combined. Also we don't dig out very well so that could mean that schools, etc., will be closed on Monday and that in turn could mean a further postponement or even a cancellation.

It's no longer a winter storm -- it's a blizzard. I shoveled 8" at 8 a.m. and I suspect there's been another 8" in the 3 1/2 hours since. I can see an Interstate from my house and there's little traffic at this point. Now they are saying tomorrow is sunny so there's some hope the Crab Bowl will happen on Monday, but if I were betting all schools -- and the Federal government -- will be closed on Monday.
