Funny Brandon Graham Article

Submitted by Look Up_See Blue on

So i'm bored watching the World Series Game 6 and the Cardinals making all these errors and I can't help but remember the Tigers making all those errors in 2006 and giving away the series.

So I came across this article about Brandon Graham and how he gained all this weight while he was injured eating Philly Cheesesteaks.  Here's the link:

It doesn't help that i'm starving right now either.

Just had a philly cheesesteak from Mister Spot's as my pre-game meal!! It was damn good.

But these are two of the most unrelated pieces of information I've ever seen in a post.

But it is true. I live 2 minutes away from Spots, but if you had a real cheesesteak, you would know it just doesn't compare. I have tried cheesesteaks in several places around the country, and there are some that do compare to the places in Philly, but Spots just is not on their level.

Cheesesteaks are all about the thin slice, provolone or cheez wiz, and Amoroso bread. So simple yet so difficult. If Grahman enjoyed his Mister Spots, I can't blame him for endulging on real Cheesesteaks in Philly.

I was just wondering the other day what happened to Graham. I thought he was going to be a stud NFL player. I hope he recovers soon to lead the league in sacks.

I apologize for the randomness.  My stomach was growling while I was trying to figure out what I wanted to eat and I came across the article at the same time and wanted to share with all the fellow MGoBloggers.

Jims is good . Pat & Geno's are tourist places and not even the best in the city. My favorite is Dalessandros . I lived in Manayunk last year and my wife and I always got our steaks from there. It's a small place and not in a spot that you can find easy since it's not downtown or by the stadiums.

I logged in just to reply to this, because D'alessandro's is by far the best cheesesteak in Philly (well, the metro area, I forget if it's in the city proper or not) and I'm excited there are other fans of the place.

Are freakin' awesome.  More of a suburbs place but something I hit up everytime I make it back home.  The one closest to my parent's place has some great pics of when John Runyan came in to make hoagies and cheesesteaks.  Love it when I can cheer for Michigan alums in my Philly sports teams!

Disclaimer -- I haven't lived in Philly since 1994.

But, while living there, I had done extensive "Brandon Graham-like" research (I even had a special pair of shoes that were immune to the inevitable cheesesteak drippings) and felt that La Spada's was the best in the metro area.... though I see they have now moved to Florida with locations in Orlando and Orange City.  So for those of you in FL, if you're craving a really awesome cheesesteak or hoagie, this is the place to go.

I live in Nashville and I can appreciate the hole in the wall places to eat.  There's the touristy places that are pretty good for the most part, but then the other places that are hidden gems.  And obviously not cheesesteak joints but good ole southern comfort spots.

Gabriels in Ypsi is clearly the best cheesesteak in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area. Absolute hole in the wall but cheese steak with extra cheese and peppers is to die for.

Thank god he doesn't live near Steve's in the northeast.  He may have gained 50 lbs.  By far the best steaks in Philly.  Hopefully BG recovered well from the injury and can help the Birds.  They need him.

Just looked at the comments on the Philly site...suprised they didn't start freaking out at him calling them "Philly Cheesteaks."  I don't know if my friends are the only ones...but they FREAK if they aren't just called a cheesesteak.

I was stationed in Philly while in the Navy for slightly less than 2 years and gained some SEEREEOUS weight on cheesesteaks. I went from thinking Navy Seals to being on the Fat Boy Program. Mine were from Oregon Cheesesteaks, on Oregon Ave. or course.

Oof!

Had I been there any longer I would of been signing up to be a contestant on "The Biggest Loser"
