Sincerely, there is no doubt the older I get the more tradition I learn.  Especially because one of my best freinds and his family work for Michigan athletics.  He is posted in the tunnel before games and wanders onto the sideline during.  He also works MBB.  So I get to hear all kinds of cool stories from infamous to the famous.  Those that really know Michigan football/basketball/other sports history to the present and those that played for Michigan in the past and the present!

With all the crap Michigan athletics, alumni, current students and fans are going through it is nice to know there is a Michigan family!  I truly appreciate all the bloggers who post, even those that project too much negativity (they especially need this mgoblog family)!   Visiting this site daily helps me to balance the negative douchebaggery that I get from my msu, osu and other teams fans.

For me I love Michigan because I grew up loving the football team, the colors, the fight song, the outfits my parents put me in.  As time has gone by I have experienced being in the Big House on many occassions for big games and games that some could care less about.  Experiencing things on the campus with folks who knew the campus and some who were just like me and we explored on game days (even though we did not go to Michigan).  I experienced a week of a all star baseball camp, invited by Bill Freehan and ultimately he told me that my grades just were not good enough and they were going in another direction.

I love Michigan athletics and the school in general because I believe it exists to help people!  My experiences in the past, present and my experiences to come give me reason(s) to be thankful.  Regardless of who is the next coach or how much or little growing pains we go through, Hail!

PS.  Please forgive the length?  I was trying to be positive and waxed nostalgic!

Go Blue!
