I just can't wait any longer!  Happy Friday and what are you up to this weekend?

Just finished renovating my basement. Counting down the hours until I get out of work so I can mount my new 55 inch TV on the wall. I'll be watching Michigan games in style this year!

Now that I have a 2 yr old that watches 'Sprout' all the time, I never really realized it was the "BerenSTAIN" bears - always pronouced it "Berenstein".  I guess one family has a barbecue stain on their white t-shirts and the other familiy lives in Manhattan and owns a CPA firm.

This weekend is the final weekend of major planting activities at my place - watermelon and squash this time around, with some smattering of gourds because my daughter thinks that they are "funny". Actually, she's right. In any case, tonight will be the staking of locations and then tomorrow and Sunday will be the planting phase. The upshot of this is that I will have less yard and will give any future owner of this house a nice list of things to be done on the spring.

I also found "The Twilight Zone" on Netflix, as well as the 1960s version of "Dragnet", both series for which I harbor something of a guilty pleasure even if the expressionless nature of Jack Webb uneases me a little. I will probably watch those in between episodes of "Doctor Who" and trips outside to mow, weed and plant. There is also the reluctant removal of the dead rose bush to consider in all that as well. Tigers baseball too. Shit, I won't be watching much then. No matter.

I initially planned to try and get my wife to "drop it like its hot," but she has no rhythm or coordination. So I'll probably drink some beer and live in a fantasy world until my family requires love and attention.

Yay, domestication is awesome....

Going to Hot Doug's here in Chicago before it closes.  For those of you that haven't been, it's probably the greatest encased meats place in the country

Wedding tomorrow, Fiance's birthday on Sunday along with probably eating and drinking way too much all weekend. And hopefully watching 2 hockey games. Should be a good start to June (how the hell is it already June?)

Manchu food in Flushing tonight with my girl and some friends. Fermented cabbage, lamb innards, pig's heart, dumplings and maybe some silk worms if available, all washed down with northern Chinese tractor fuel. Yum.

That's what I'd be doing, and lots of it, it I ate some of the things you listed.

(though I'm sure it's a cultural thing and that those foods are probably considered "delicacies" in some parts of the world)

and now, back to posbanging...

Kids science olympiad tomorrow. Son's 10th B-day also so his friends are spending the night, then Sunday is the family party. I'm making tacos, burritos and margaritas because they're my son's favorites (not margaritas).

My hope is to get some golf in at some point...may need to catch a break.

Golfing soon and then seeing a house this weekend. If anyone wants to give me some money to help this house endeavor that would be great. Otherwise, please posbang my face.

My wife had a giant pile of rocks delivered and dumped in our driveway. I'll be loading them into a wheelbarrel, then moving them to the backyard and spreading them out.

Don't get married.
