Friday Night Sparty Hate Week Drinking Thread
A rough week of work yields a good night of drinking. Sparty week just compounds it.
What are you drinking and how are you feeling going into tomorrow?
I'm a couple home brews and a Bells Hell Hath No Fury into the evening. I just don't see a way Michigan drops this game tomorrow. Good guys win by two scores. Go Blue!

one of those things above is true, and i bet you can tell which one. (oh, and i'll have some red pop as soon as i'm back from taking the 4 oldest kids to the local high school homecoming game)

but good guesses. we just left the game, up 20-0 with just a few minutes left. the weather held off pretty well too so none of the homecoming court were frozen to death.

Why don't you like diesel trucks, man? It's pure torque!
October 16th, 2015 at 9:04 PM ^
own 2 of them, a diesel car, all of our farm machinery is diesel, and we make bio-diesel in the barn. remember the qualifier: one of the statements was true and the bit about not liking diesel was....false.

Named after an MG that factory workers in the local auto plant used as a runabout. It had a kind of mottled paint, and the MG factory and the brewery were in close proximity. The ale goes back to the 1970s.
Go Blue! Beat Staee!

It's not just for breakfast anymore. I feel good about tomorrow and am glad it's in A2 where a cranked and hostile home crowd is going to contribute to a Michigan win. If Rudock protects the ball and the defense does what it does like it has, there's no reason we should lose. I hope Connor Cook is picking bits of field turf out of his teeth by the end of it all. And that Miralax Mark Dantonio has a supremely poopy day.
GO BLUE! BEAT STATE!

Pean Bolgheri 2011
Italian red wine (from Tuscany). It's reasonably good.
Last night I had some Bushmills Black Bush Irish whiskey, which is becoming my favorite whiskey. However, I don't know much about whiskey or scotch ...

Our guys have been playing pretty well. . . gotta stick with what has worked thusfar.
Note the grandiose fantasy that my smallest actions affect the outcome of football games; also note that this fantasy requires me to drink a reasonably good and boozy beer.

Nice rich flavors of chocolate, roasted malts and dark fruit plus a boozy finish from the 11% abv.
So glad I was able to grab a sixer. I'm going to save a couple to age a bit.

The 1933 pilsner is a good beer. I'm surprised you know of them, I've been going there a while but I never run into anyone who's heard of them, they're still under the radar. When you are in Astoria, do you ever check out Sweet Afton or Sunswick 35/35?
