I've been sipping beer and watching Utah State vs. Wyoming - it's going more or less like you would expect, of course. In othr words, it's coming up on halftime and Wyoming finally showed up and managed a field goal. Glad they were able to make it to this oh so consequential Mountain West game, right?

with a huge ham left over from a large party i hosted last night.   bow hunted tonight, but nothing came in, though favorite neighbor texted me pic of the 8 pt. he took tonight.   may turn on tele to see end of wings game. 

cows getting 'harvested' tomorrow - nobody here better tell them, don't want them to know....

beer is for me.

grass fed is a different taste and it's nice that you appreciate it.  leaner beef, smaller animals, but the organic nature of our farm dictates grass only.   i still enjoy beef finished with maize. 

and yes, if i had to live in california, SD (coronado in particular) would be my first choice - with a hat tip to mgobrewmom, somewhere up near rancho bernadino.

but do you have any idea how much beer a 1-ton steer could theoretically drink?   our water tank is 200 gallons and is filled daily.   just one bull could crush our/your best-ever kegger party.  in fact, i remember when we had a 21 keg party for my 21 st b-day....this was after the dinosaurs had died off, but before the invention of electricity....

Exploring the Willamette Valley tonight. 2011 was a fine year. As a Wings fan living in New York, it's nice to see them bouncing back after that OT loss in the Garden. They used to own that place.

BEST QUOTE that started my day better than kickass hot fresh coffee in the morning, was Sam Webb to John Bacon:  "Rest assured...  you will be misquoted."  LMAO!  I was driving and praise the Lord didn't hit anything or anyone when I heard that.
