Freep message boards

Does anyone ever go over to the freep message boards and just release frustration on the mindless comments over there?

I know most people here are probably above it, but I've found it's a guilty pleasure for me. It's therapeutic in a way to go there and just stir the pot of idiocy.

Maybe that's just me.

I do. Same name if you wanna look it up. I find it isn't really therapeutic. After postulating on the possible existence of a sub-set of pre-intelligent hominids coming back from extinction to predict the firing of RichRod, I found I was actually angrier than before.

You know what's therapeutic? Turning on my old NCAA 2004 dynasty on PS2 -- which is like in 2011 I think -- and whipping the ever-living piss out of Ohio State. There's this one play where I send a tailback deep out of the spread and they can't stop it.

Putting up 50 on fake pixels that resemble Ohio State is cathartic. Googling "Maurice Clarett" is cathartic. Closing my eyes and repeating the numbers "2-10-and-1" is cathartic. Hanging with the Trolls on the Freep boards, however, is like walking into your old frat house 7 years after you graduated and then whining 'cause the beer sucks. That part of my life is over.

I put Carlos Brown in as the quarterback for 08 and ran the spread with him. It was awesome. My MSU buddy said I was cheating.

Also good therapy. Maybe I'll just do that tonight.

the day there. The problem I find is that while you have a few trolls posting negative crap every day, the "defenders" of our program tend to be of the "Boren is a pussy/McGuffie can't hack it in the Big 10/RR will win a NC in 2010" variety, without the more (usually, ok, 60% of the time) intelligent perspective one finds here.

The most thought provoking stuff I've seen there was a sincere critique of RR quoting the deposition to show that after the offer from us he first went to the WVA to leverage our offer into a better package to stay at WVA. There is a strong current there of people saying that RR is not a guy that cares for the players as family in the manner of Lloyd or even Bo (the swearing, supposedly doesn't address non-football issues in recruiting, negative comments about players in the press, etc)
