Former LSU OC/QB Cam Cameron to interview for 10th asst. coach position at Michigan
February 8th, 2018 at 7:22 PM ^
So anyone who doesn’t know how to field a serviceable offense appears to be a great fit for Harbaugh & Michigan.

Where's the bleach
February 8th, 2018 at 8:30 PM ^
All about tide pods these days
February 8th, 2018 at 8:37 PM ^
Good point.
February 8th, 2018 at 9:05 PM ^
When did this become a Tide ad?
February 8th, 2018 at 7:26 PM ^
Oh great, another thread that will be full of calm, level-headed discussions about a possible coach.
Talk to me when we have more than "a guy stopped by".
February 8th, 2018 at 7:26 PM ^
How about no
February 8th, 2018 at 7:27 PM ^
He and les miles can be analysts but jim mcelwain needs to be the OC. Drevno can gobble the OC at San Diego and warriner oline and run game coordinator.
February 8th, 2018 at 7:51 PM ^
I meant go be
February 8th, 2018 at 9:02 PM ^
Made more sense
February 8th, 2018 at 10:24 PM ^
Priceless.
February 9th, 2018 at 6:50 PM ^
Must have been an auto correct he texted to his wife/gf last Friday night
February 8th, 2018 at 7:28 PM ^
If you love Bo football. If you are like myself and others this just an awful interview. Hopefully at some point Harbaugh enters 2018 with his offense.
February 8th, 2018 at 7:32 PM ^
HARD PASS. What the hell is wrong with Jim? These dusters wouldn’t have sniffed an interview when he was first hired.
February 8th, 2018 at 7:40 PM ^
Everything from his demeanor on the sidelines to his recruiting to his coaching hires seems subdued since the end of the 2016 season.
February 8th, 2018 at 8:21 PM ^
Something changed.
February 8th, 2018 at 11:16 PM ^
health
February 8th, 2018 at 9:31 PM ^
At first thought it was because he was worried about getting biased treatment from refs but who knows at this point
February 9th, 2018 at 9:04 AM ^
Well if he wanted to leave he would've left by now. He would've been the first choice of literally every NFL team who fired a coach this season.
It's not like he would've been hurting for options, either. Colts, Giants, Bears, Cardinals, Raiders. Several high-profile, marquee NFL teams in there. Any one of those teams would've backed up a dump truck of cash to his house to ask him to coach. The demeanor has changed a little bit, sure. But I believe that if he wanted to leave, he'd already be gone.

Lmfao
February 8th, 2018 at 7:43 PM ^
No. Just no. This would be such an uninspiring, old school, stale hire. Why is Jim even giving this dinosaur an interview? It has to be simply because of the Michigan connection.
February 8th, 2018 at 8:10 PM ^
You got your name right.
February 8th, 2018 at 9:00 PM ^

My dad is good friends with the Late Pete Schmidt’s brother. Pete Schmidt was Cam Cameron’s OC at Indiana from 1997-1999 when he was diagnosed with cancer. Pete passed away in 2000.
Anyways, his brother always tells the story of how Cam thought he was going to get, and almost did, get the Head Coaching job here when Gary was fired. He called Pete and wanted him to join his coaching staff in some capacity. For whatever reason Cam was wrong and they hired Lloyd Carr instead and the rest is history. Just interesting to think about what history my have been if we hired Cam Cameron over LC.
February 8th, 2018 at 8:15 PM ^
Was never fired.
February 8th, 2018 at 11:16 PM ^
then we would've won two national championships!
February 8th, 2018 at 7:51 PM ^
might as well bring in Les Miles as another analyst at this point.
February 8th, 2018 at 8:13 PM ^
Alternatively, he could come in as the analyst on the groundskeeping staff. I mean, it wouldn't do much good on the field itself because of the FieldTurf, but anywhere else there is grass on the grounds of the stadium, I think we have the makings of a solid hire there.
February 8th, 2018 at 8:17 PM ^
Jesus Christ pay the players already. Cam fucking Cameron doesn't need to be paid by this university more than some of the football players do. All this moolah to pay analysts and assistants (besides the already-known ridiculous head coaching salaries) but a few thousand for the dudes playing and maintaining some mythical amateurish is asinine.
This wasn't meant to be one of those posts to start debate but to hone in on my central thesis....keep someone like a Cam Cameron away, especially if he's being paid and taking up a staff spot.
February 8th, 2018 at 8:17 PM ^
God no
February 8th, 2018 at 8:18 PM ^
Harbaugh is sick of the shenanigans he has experienced with hires recently and going for an insider....not down with incestuous hiring.
February 8th, 2018 at 8:19 PM ^
From San Diego?
February 8th, 2018 at 8:22 PM ^
Analyst
February 8th, 2018 at 8:29 PM ^
This would be a good hire...
In 1993
February 8th, 2018 at 8:41 PM ^
Isn’t LSU the school without an efficient passing game/QB situation in forever? Uhhhh interesting hire I guess
February 8th, 2018 at 8:53 PM ^
Why? The Ravens won the Super Bowl immediately after firing this dude, then he went on to beef it at LSU. What's attractive about him right now?
February 9th, 2018 at 9:14 AM ^
So, we hire Cam, then fire him, win Natty. Sounds good to me.
February 8th, 2018 at 8:58 PM ^
Hire jim tressle and get it over with
February 8th, 2018 at 9:02 PM ^
Except when it’s not.
February 10th, 2018 at 2:27 AM ^
Don't tempt us like that.
February 8th, 2018 at 9:08 PM ^
I really think we should've demoted Drevno to OL only and made Jedd Fisch the outright OC.
February 8th, 2018 at 9:20 PM ^
strongly agree
February 9th, 2018 at 8:16 AM ^
I think we should get rid of Drevno. Promote Ed Warinner to OLine and throw money at Jess Fisch.
February 8th, 2018 at 9:12 PM ^
Dude has been fired from every relevant OC position he has coached
February 9th, 2018 at 12:40 AM ^
He’s not going to be OC.
I really am flabbergasted how all of you people can’t get that through your heads.
February 8th, 2018 at 9:34 PM ^
Please No. He has had more talent to work with at each stop he’s been and continues to drive offenses into the ground. I would rather have Al Borges drawing plays with miniature marshmellows.
February 8th, 2018 at 9:39 PM ^
It's crystal clear that they intend to run the same offense next year.
